Here is my monthly submission of “Clocks” by Coldplay.

Keymaster@gi_gi_ – Very well played, Gi Gi! On the first barre chord, the D, I’m noticing that the second string doesn’t ring clearly each time. Your form looks good to me, so I think it’s because you’re not pressing down with enough force on that string. Try adding a barre chord exercise to your warm-up routine, like this:
This will give you something fun to play while also helping to build finger strength. You can switch up the exercise by using different barre chord shapes. The exercise simply involves moving a shape up and down by half or whole steps 🙂

Hi everyone, here is my attempt at “Clocks”. I love the song, but the last chord shape just isn’t in my fingers. 😀

ParticipantHere is my recording of “Dream a Little Dream of Me.” I was initially intimidated by the barre chords and was quite surprised to see they were indeed possible to play with practice. This song has been exciting to learn and see growth over the month. I’m looking forward to continuing to improve on this song and apply what I’ve learned with the barre chords to future songs.

Thank you Andrew and team for choosing these amazing songs. I worked on Clocks by Coldplay. Progress is slow but sure.
Still working on the double bar Al the way at the 10th and 12th fret. Getting better.

Here is my entry for the May challenge.
I can’t seem to get that last chord to ring, my fingers are just too big for a double bar on the 10/11th frets.

HeyHo together,
here ist my attempt at “Where ist my mind?”. Thx Steven for the very nice Arrangement. Not everything is clean and i made a little mistake. But it’s proudly featured with a little name giving “hang on” in the second verse (….where was my mind?….).
@marianne Sooo beautiful played 😍May 26, 2024 at 5:35 pm #61709gstriph

Here is my submission of Clocks for the May challenge. It still isn’t quite up to speed, but I still struggled to get a consistent tempo and rhythm. But it was a fun song to learn. And since my Sister and Nephew are big Coldplay fans, it is fun to say this is in my repertoire (at least sort of). I am looking forward to viewing this month’s submissions. Very impressive so far! Thanks again to RC 101 for another great month of songs.

Hello, here is my submission of “Dream a little Dream of Me”.
I have put a lot of work into learning the song on the piano and adding it as backtrack to the Ukulele. For the Ukulele part I am playing exactly Matt’s arrangement, I am just playing the first beats a little later to have it more of a swing feel inline with the piano. I hope you like it.

ParticipantHi All!
I am a premium member.
Here’s my rendition of Clocks. For a “beginner” song, it was full of challenges (double bar!) but fun to learn and play. I had a difficult time keeping a steady tempo in the recording even though I played along with Soundslice over and over… Thanks for a great lesson!
