Here is Fingerpicking Etude No. 37. I only learnt it yesterday because I’ve had a very busy month. Consequently, I didn’t feel very comfortable while recording. Hopefully, I will find more time to practise for the challenge next month.

Hi Uke Friends, I have enjoyed listening to everyone’s submissions this month. As always, I’m so impressed with all the hard work, commitment and talent! This month I worked on Dock of The Bay….and here it is already the end of the month……so here goes. Fun little piece….thanks to Matt and Rockclass101 for a great arrangement.

Participant@andrew thank you, your helpful suggestion makes perfect sense. I have slowed it down and am making sure my strum is steady and am able to keep my left hand in sync. Will gradually pick up speed.

I bought this flea ukulele because I could take it on the boat. The flea marketing materials failed to mention that the boat might be such a handful that I wouldn’t be able to practice. So I picked the Travis picking etude. I didn’t want to miss out on the contest.

Here’s my attempt at Duality.
I liked the story behind this composition and of course Evan makes it sound beautiful. I spent most of the month trying to master the accompaniment, but I couldnt get the Cmaj bar code shape at any speed (the minor was easier, but also slow), so I switched to the lead at the last minute – hence a bit unrehearsed.
Thanks for yet another great monthly challenge!

For this month’s challenge I chose the dreamy Etude 37. This fingerpicking pattern will stay with me 🙂 Thank you for challenging me to learn it.

Hi, this is my challenge submission for this month. I tried both 3-finger and 4-finger but concluded that I like 4-finger technique more because I felt I could sustain the sound a bit better.
