    @marianne, thank you so much for that! It means a lot that you liked how I played your lovely tune. 🥰

    @marianne that is kind of you to say because I so admire your playing.

    @brettboy
    a pleasure to listen to.
    I enjoy listening to all the entries and the fact we all know (and have been there) what goes into a submission. Some say over 200 takes, hours of practice, or life getting in the way – makes it even more amazing the entries are so good!
    One more thing – this community is from all over the world – music is universal- 🎼🫶🤯👏. Louisa

    @leb397, that’s so stinkin’ presh! 🧡 I also am so glad I found RC101 three years ago this July. Crazy how time flies. This is such a special group of people – students and teachers alike. 🥰

    Here’s everyone on page 6 that I hadn’t gotten to.

    @hiouke
    – Beautifully played 🙂

    @maryjanew
    – That was awesome MJ! Great to see you playing bass! You’ve got a great base (pun intended 😂) established, keep practicing and you’ll have it smooth in no time!

    @ukefinlandgirl
    – You played it beautifully and smoothly, I’d say mission accomplished! The only thing I’m seeing is that it looks like you might have a bit of tension in your picking hand. Try to stay as relaxed as possible when fingerpicking 🙂

    @bohdan
    – Very nicely paced! I really liked how you gave the A melody plenty of space, it added to the haunting beauty of the piece. Great playing throughout!

    @lynnzo
    – Great fingerpicking, Lynn! The only area I’d focus on is smoothing out the ending, specifically the transition from major to minor for the F chords.

    @nat-uke
    – If that’s last minute learning, then it’s a testament to your musicianship! Beautifully
    played 👏

    @gi_gi_
    – Honestly, that’s amazing progress for 2 days! Keep practicing! It doesn’t sound like it
    will take much more work to smooth it out 🙂

    @xerxes
    – You played it great Milo! Fingerpicking technique and tone looks/sounded great!

    P.S. I liked your write up. I too, tend to overanalyze things, lol. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s working!

    @riley_ukulele
    – You rocked that! Bravo!! 👏

    BTW – I love your uke! I chuckled seeing the parental advisory sticker. Was actually talking to
    my mom today and Al Gore came up in our convo. For us old enough to know or remember,
    we can all thank Tipper for that label 😅

    @ccwuke
    – Great rhythm and strumming chops Chris! The only spot I’d narrow down on is the chromatic barre chord walk down in the verse. It’s tough! Practice slow and focus on note clarity.

    Here’s everyone on page 7 and 8.

    @frederic
    – Fun for you to play, and fun for me to listen to! Great rhythm playing and you nailed the feel/vibe of the piece. Well done! 👏

    @johanna2509
    – Amazing that you played it so flawlessly after just one day of learning and practice, truly a testament to your musicianship!

    @dianna
    – Really nicely played, Dianna! Your left-hand work was excellent. For your right hand, I noticed you’re primarily strumming by moving your wrist up and down. Try engaging your forearm more to create the down/up motion, which can help add fluidity to your overall sound.

    Matt has a great lesson covering the basics of strumming technique, which talks about this in more detail.

    @cimarronsailor
    – Beautifully played! 🙂

    @ukealori
    – Great to see you back, Lori! Performance sounded great! Honestly, it just sounds like a little more practice will smooth out the minor hesitations/transitions. Great work for your first one back!

    @bibilele
    – You nailed that! Great rhythm, timing, and feel. Bravo! 👏

    The only thing I’d work on is the ending lick/riff. It’s a bit syncopated. Try counting and/or singing it, like I do in this video. And you can actually hear that I accidentally sang the very last bar with a slightly diff rhythm. My mistake, but it works! As long as it has that feel that matches the tune. And def try tapping your foot along as you do this 🙂

    @yukalele
    – Really nicely done David! Melody B is pretty spot on, so I’ll focus my feedback on Melody A. Honestly, the only part I’m hearing that needs attention is the 8-7-5 (pull-off, slide) phrase, those first 2 notes are 16ths. So you wanna play those a little bit quicker. Try looping this section in the tab player and playing along with Evan. Aim to match him as close as possible. That’ll help you get it down.

    @anya09
    – Very beautifully played!

    @karela
    – Here is my feedback for you with one playing tip to make your transitions smoother 🙂

    @leihali
    – Sustain sounded great! You played it beautifully Kay!

    @joe150
    – Great work this month Joe! Playing sounded excellent!

    @dividedsky
    – Beautifully played, Jane!

    @jasdel
    – You nailed it! Excellent playing!

    Thank you, @Andrew, for all the amazing work you put into these challenges and for all the thoughtful feedback you always give for everyone! I enjoy reading through it, too (even if it’s not for my songs), and learn a lot from it. 🙂

    Thanks @Andrew, I will absolutely check out Matt’s lesson……and will work on using my forearm in my strumming…….it makes a lot of sense…..I think putting a strap on that Uke might help too?
