this month I’m really close to the deadline. Did not find much time to practice, switched over to the mini-lesson-song ( …the River Song is sooo lovely) and back. I recorded this afternoon and put it all together. I’m not so happy with the result but here we go …

Hi Everyone, I’ve been wearing a cast on my left hand this month because I broke my thumb. I thought Lover’s March was almost playable, so I challenged anyway. I know it’s slower than it should be, but this is what I got.

Man, this really stinks, I had a very unfortunate personal issue happen today (on the day I was going to record my usual, magical, last-second entry), so I’m not going to make this challenge. This is the first challenge I’ve missed in like four (or is it five?) years. But unlike @brettboy, I didn’t have perfect attendance from the beginning, so I guess I have to go easy on myself. It stinks because it’s a K’ challenge, but physically I can’t record tonight now. Heap that onto the steaming dumpster fire that is today (not the entire day, just the second half). When I can pray and pack literally an entire pint of ice cream into my body, then all will be well again. 😔

Really looking forward to going back and listening to more of the amazing entries others have shared, along with the epic ones I’ve already seen! Beautiful work by all!! 🥰

I am really enjoying The River Song, thank you Stephen. I’ve chosen to make mine more of a slow flowing stream that I can imagine myself floating along on my paddleboard, I panic when the flow gets stronger! Saying that, I’m still bumping into the odd rock or fallen tree along the way at this speed. 😀

@annyuke – Both melodies were beautifully played. Well done! 👏

@mysticrick – It sounds amazing with the effects!

@janaq1 – I remember having to practice a ton for this tune to get the timing steady. It’s def tricky. Foot tapping is the best way to get a more natural feel, which you got!

@monika101 – The interesting thing about a performance that takes 1,000 takes is that each take gives you an opportunity to listen back and to refine your performance. Which it sounds like you did, because I hear nothing to critic. It was very well played!

Try recording your practices. That way you can refine it as you practice instead of on the day of recording. That’s a tip that I myself should follow more 😂
