I started out working on Helen’s theme; however a week ago my daughter gifted me a new instrument. She saw it a thought it unusual and cool , so got it for my birthday. So, I was compelled to play it for the challenge. So switched last week to Spooky Scary Skeletons as I needed to switch to a high G song. Definitely needed more than a week, but here it is

ParticipantHi everyone! This is my take on “The Walking Dead” theme.
I have to admit, I was pretty indifferent to this song at first as I’m not a horror movie fan. I wasn’t even sure I wanted to learn it, but I decided to give it a chance. The more I practiced, the more it sucked me in, and I got hooked on its flow. It’s an excellent arrangement!
My tempo is much slower than the original, but this is the speed at which I can play it with a number of mistakes I can count on my fingers (toes included).
Happy Halloween!

I just managed to make it this month! Went for the Walking Dead – tried to fit in slides, hammer-on and pull-offs and some dynamics as per Andrew’s suggestions. It was also a good exercise for speed, though I only got to 70%, but given I started at 50% I felt it was progress!
Happy Halloween!

ParticipantHi everyone!
Here’s my entry for this month’s challenge, featuring the iconic theme from The Walking Dead.
This is the first time I’ve really wondered whether I’d manage to complete the monthly challenge at all! Even though this is a fairly simple arrangement, I definitely had to wrestle with it a bit. 😀One thing I’m learning alongside playing the ukulele is a little more about myself and my attitude towards learning. I’m starting to notice mistakes that I didn’t even realize were there before. I guess that’s progress of a different kind!
Recording this piece made me particularly aware that I still need to work on my right-hand picking technique. I also tried recording a few softer, more delicate takes, but then something else decided to go wrong. Apparently, my mistakes like to take turns! 😀
I know that’s part of the journey. This one will have to do for now. There’s always room to improve, and I’m sure there will be a better take next time!
Thanks for listening! Happy Halloween and playing everyone!

Hi everyone,
I’ve really enjoyed your submissions. Thanks to you, I forced myself to go through the annoying part of these monthly challenges — filming a video. 😃
This month I chose Blue Moon.

ParticipantHappy Halloween all!
I’m squeaking in and I didn’t get that much time to practice this month, but this is where I am with The Walking Dead Theme. This song challenged me in interesting ways, particularly my fretting hand and timing, pinky control, and staying on the tips of my finders. Very fun!
Looking forward to watching everyone’s videos!

Sorry about my disheveled appearance. I was in a bit of a rush to get the recording done.
However, check out my new uke!

ParticipantHello All, just under the wire I think!! Its been a very busy month with very little time to practice and it shows in my attempt at The Walking Dead Theme. We have decided to move country and buy a house all in a month, 1 week to go before we fly out!! I haven’t even had a chance to see all the entries this month, but should have plenty of time to catch up on our 14 hour flight!!

leihaliParticipantHi, I’m posting the Walking Dead Theme here today, but I really liked Spogelser too especially where the key changes to F in the A Section. I ran out of practice time, but this is where I am at.
