  • I’m back from somewhere, nice job guys, you guys nailed the pieces you played. Plus I think the lighting round thumbnail could be way cooler if you were finger shooting the lighting like a cowboy or something. Just saying 🙂

Hannah, lee it’s nothing to be nervous about. It’s what Andrew said, we are learning together. This prize is everyone’s bait for the eyes, but improvement is even a better prize. I believe in you Hannah that you can do it, and you’re not the only one who is nervous to upload a video. Have Fun!

Hello, I had trouble with the fingerpicking in etude no.11, especially as my fingers, sweat more as I got closer to the finish. Any advice is appreciated to help me and others to improve as well. I notice that I’m not quite ready for the last song, but I still gave it a try and will continue to try again later. Thanks, XD

How long should you practice music for each day? I read many websites from professionals including this one, but they all are different. Some say maxiumim time is 4 hours, some say 30 mins. Thanks

(No swearing is including) #### this prize since I research the history of Andrew Hardel, and how he brought this community together. It’s amazing how he became a teacher to inspire many other people, but what caught my eye was that there was this September challenge a long time back and the prize was a 1 on 1 skype lesson. Man, I wish I would have participated. Plus I also NEED to learn how to practice. What should I study more Prac, or Theory? Or what should I do first in theory? Man, music is more complicated than this computer I’m typing from, and I’m dedicated to learning it all. But what should I study, how long should I study for this topic, should I spend at least about ___ minutes for this, or should I move on? Because a detailed plan is hard to make and school holidays is next week! 😀 (More learning time)

So how did you guys start learning the complicity of music? I really need guidance, because starting as a future awesomeness is so complicated and I bet you’ve experienced this when you started playing, thanks 🙂

Thank you, and I believe that people aren’t born with talent but of work. If Jake Shimabukuro never picked up the ukulele and trained before he releases his first video at the age of 30, then he wouldn’t be recognized for his talent. He had a choice and he worked on it. What would your choice be?
So work hard, and believe in yourself.

My secret is full on practice, only do it when you have the time because it’s deadly when you can get carried away like I experience so many times when practicing ukulele, but I now know, that’s not the case. You have other things in life that you should have and enjoy. I guess cause, it’s my fourth-month playing uke, I was so excited I dropped my other important things, like family and friends, don’t do what I did. I’m just glad I could fix it as soon as possible, and I am still fixing it. It’s not uke for life, but life with uke. So that’s my backstory of ukulele, and all our journey continues. Just don’t drive your path to a bad one, but more of a happy one with people that will love you. 🙂

I will do these songs again next week since of school holidays, with your advice plus all the three songs, I feel confident to try again with more effort. I just have tests that I have to do, but I will try again for this challenge, making improvements as I go. Thank you for the comment Andrew, means a lot for people who want to improve. 🙂

hmmmm…. Awesome… :I.. Yes we get it you won! >:( Just kidding. 🙂

I’m happy that your daughter is happy, and when people are happy, I like to be happy too. I think it was meant for you, so congrats and happy playing.

Whenever I try to do bar chords, the third string, keeps on buzzing when I play it. Is it since I’m not strong enough, or just the position. Any advice would be nice thanks. :I

I am sorry about this video and it’s mistakes, but hey I tried, I will try harder when I have the time. It was a bit wild, for me to do this one take, but I thought to myself as a beginner, there’s no time like the Present. So bring it on Andrew, with your constructive criticism!

P.S Lisadmh I might have overexaggerate, because after a while it’s gone. So sorry for that….

    Here’s the URL
Oh yeah, and if you want to see me, (which I hope you don’t) look at the description and one of my friends post a video of me acting if you have the time. Thank you so much, and I will try to do the third song if I have time….. Thanks 🙂

Kayleighb what song you’re doing, and if anyone is reading this, is it ok to practice having bruises on your fingers, or do you have to rest. Thanks 🙂

True to that, epically the chuck part in Etude no.11, this is going to take a lot of work.

    Sir Andrew,

I have looked into your Ultimate Guide to record ukulele professionally, I don’t think that recording is professionally for this challenge. Not only that but I don’t have any um… mics, or plugins or any electronic sound and video equipment, for I’m only starting out. What do you think is the best way to record with probably no budget needed? Thanks

Thanks for the feedback Andrew, I loved this challenge and congrats to Kmelton for winning, I’m going to enjoy this month’s challenge thanks.
