@The_Bumble_Bard ❤️ Awe, Mahalo for that. Yes! I also really like how Matt and Andrew teach. I have always been shy, and yet people close to me will always say that canʻt be because I do well in social situations…but thatʻs only because I am forced to…lol. By choice, and to no good end I would home rot, doing all my many projects in my own world. Although, I have the desire to share my knowledge from my experience with others that can relate to them because I know that I am always helped when I connect with others, or just another who has or is going through the experiences I have. So I am a strange package…lol!

I came across the challenge in mid June. I have been following Matt for years on my other channel and when I switched to my current YouTube channed RockClass101 and Andrew with the Spring Challenge popped up.

I got excited, mostly because I love dramatic compositions and Sea of Storms is just that. Getting the chance to win a Kanaleʻa is great too! It will go to a well deserved person. I like the fact that the challenge is not based on skill. Itʻs just great that the challenge gets people excited and motivated to play and improve in many ways, and it connects people to eachother who can become a support system for learning and growing.

🌺Mahalo and have a beautiful Aloha day!

@Andrew Hey Andrew…am I doing my replies correctly? Do you know why the message above doesnʻt highlight you name? Is it because I replied to The_Bumble_Bards reply?🙏

@The_Bumble_Bard Mahalo nui for listening and for your feedback! My songs are not meant for me to play or sing but for a visionary to produce and mix. But, this one in particular I wrote for a dear old friend that encouraged me to share my binder of songs to the world after hearing one of my them. He was a one of my Meals on Wheels recipients. He even cleaned and fixed my busted-up ukulele. I know what you mean about it sounding like the style of an artist; its terrible that I need to look Lanaʻs music up, I mostly listen to alot of Hawaiian and local music. Although, I was trying to go for something sounding like…how to describe, maybe oldies with an electric guitar. I sound to motherly and monotone at times in the song.

    hahaha…we are our worst critics!

@ Andrew Mahalo Andrew for listening and for the feedback! I feel like I will be learning and growing a lot here if I continue to connect. My issue is I have a habit of dissapearing. But I am working on finishing up a book I am writing right now and having to paying my AI to help me with hours of research that would have taken me years to find. So, I am going to become a Premium member as soon as I can do it. Thank you for making much of you content available to the everyone. I can see the value in supporting Rockclass101. Okay, before I write a book here. Aloha Andrew!

@Andrew Mahalo nui Andrew! It is less than mediocre but I am just grateful for the chance. My anxiety always takes over and I can’t slow down and couldn’t get it together in time to get my Studio One metro to work.
I have to say that the motivation to learn a piece for the challenge has taught me a lot. I learned how to restring my uke, because I switched to the low G for Sea of Storms, and it also motivated me to finally learn how to file down the nut so that I don’t have to kill my fingertips pressing the strings like I haved all these years.
I’m very far from playing well and I get by with the minimal when writing my melodies. I never expected to play well, just wishful thinking. With RockClass101, time, and dedication anyone can learn to be an awesome player. Mahalo for all the great feedback that you give to everyone and for RockClass101.
    This was fun!

🌺Aloha! I am not sure this link is going to work. This is a test. Here’s my submission. I’m sorry for the low quality recording. This is from my phone I did quick before heading to work. I’m such a procrastinator that I’m surprized I got this in. Mahalo for the chance to win!

It doesn’t hurt to try. I hope to be more prepared for the fall challenge.
    ❤️Good luck everyone!

@The_Bumble_Bard, Mahalo for the warm welcome! Yes, though I am a shy one, I am doing my best to playing something slightly decernable😊. RockClass101 consists of varying levels of players so I see that we all can be comfortable here, and with the great lessons we can master the uke too. Thank you for the encouragement!

I’m so happy to have come upon RockClass101 through following Matt Dahlberg for years. And,
awe, thanks for mentioning my songs. It always is helpful to recieve feedback. When I can get it together I would like to share one of my originals.

Mahalo and good luck! For me, I’m glad to know that the contest is not judged on how well we play… that would disqualify me instantly!😁
