I chose Goodbye Summer for this months challenge, which ironically was recorded on my first day of summer vacation!
I have not been playing very much recently, and the barre chords were a challenge for me, especially to hold them and keep the intonation in check. I put a tambourine on my door to add some rhythm. Happy Summer all! Mike

This is my take on the beautiful theme Song of Storms. I’ve never played low g before, so I took this challenge as an excuse to restring my uke and try it. Loving it so far!

With some buzzes and inconsistencies in pacing, but I hope it qualifies.

Here’s my performance of Summertime 🎶 for this month! I recorded it at a campground by the beach 🏕️🌊 – definitely adds to the summer vibe ☀️, though the sweaty hands were real 😅

P.S. Instead of clipping my wireless mic to the uke strap 🎤🎸, I set it on the table near the sound hole. It helped reduce some unwanted noise – but not the background hum of generators and passing cars 🚐🚗💨

Heyho Rockclass,

here’s my recording for June. I found a nice pond for it – but the mosquitoes were biting me badly… I had the opportunity to try out my new Bluetooth microphones, thanks to the magnet, i can attach them directly to the sound hole. I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality – a real alternative if you don’t have a pickup installed (thanks again for the tip in the livelesson, Matt! 🤗). A big THX goes out to Steven for this gorgeous arrangement, it was so satisfying to learn and play it.

You guys did a great job again this month – it was a joy to hear all those fantastic entries – thank you!
