Hey Phil, timing is the hardest for me too. It’s almost a natural feeling to want to increase gradually in speed as you play. This is especially true for solo performances. It’s much easier to play in time along with a drummer (seeing as he/she has great timing, lol). A metronome is always your best friend, that’s my 2 cents 😉
