Hi Rock Class 101 Community!
I am beyond humbled to say that there has now been over 5,000+ members participating in our challenges! AMAZING! If you’ve sat on the sidelines, please join us for this month’s challenge! Challenges are a fun way to stay motivated and a great way to meet fellow ukulele players who are passionate about learning and becoming better players.
Please watch the video above and read instructions below carefully for details/instructions on this month’s challenge.

If you choose a live lesson, your task is to showcase what it teaches and present that for this month’s challenge. There’s no right or wrong! You decide the best way to showcase it.

GROUND RULES FOR PARTICIPATION:
1. Post your Youtube, Vimeo, or Soundcloud links of you playing 1 of the RC101 pieces anytime between Monday, September 1st until Tuesday, September 30th, 11:59pm ET.
The upload feature on the site only supports photos. Members must host their own files. Creating an account is easy and free. Here are the links to create an account:

3. Have fun and don’t be intimidated by this challenge!!! Use this challenge to help you set goals and complete them by a deadline. You can also use this as an opportunity to chat with your fellow Rock Class 101 members and share tips or tricks on this challenge that you think are useful.
* Note: In my opinion, it is better to show progress versus perfection with these challenges. Remember we are all here to support you no matter what your current playing level is.

I went for Sunset Skip as my heart skipped a beat the first time I heard this super catchy syncopated tune and gorgeous dreamy chord progression. Thanks @mattukulele for such an inspiring piece to end the summer with.

Hello there I am really confused what to work on this month can anyone help which song would be best for a beginner budding to intermediate level player have already worked on finger picking etude number 37 before so apart from this lesson which lesson would be the best to work on this month?

as we all saw last month, you’re loving the challenge – so why you do’nt try Matt’s “Tropical etude”? Nice movement over the fingerboard, doublestops and moderate tempo …

I have to say, when this challenge first came out, I was absolutely pumped and delighted (but couldn’t reply with my health issues until now), especially that the Live Lessons are an option this month – which obviously I am going to pick! LOL. I already have a vague idea of what I am going to do and it once again falls into the “chaos” category (because boy – could I ever use some light-hearted chaos lately). 😂
Also, this challenge felt extra special because it seems to be just for the community here, unless I’m mistaken – since the challenge video was not shared publicly (unless I’m missing something). But I love that, and also thought that the video was really nice because it seemed very candid to me – I found that especially endearing for some reason. And also very happy that you’re getting a break, @Andrew, to work on the site and everything, though you are obviously really missed in these challenges. 🙂
