    Hi everyone!
It is a joy to watch your submissions.

    @The_Bumble_Bard
    – you made my day. I love Ukebert´s story.

    Here’s my take on Interstellar.
Please exclude me from the draw this month.

Here’s my September challenge submission of A Shade of Minor. Thank you Andrew for this lovely piece. I enjoyed learning it and have also continued to work on relaxing my wish for a perfect take. So here you go. I am looking forward to viewing others’ submissions and what looks to be rock and roll for next month! Happy Fall Y’all!

Good to be back with all you RC101 challenge musicians. I have been away busy working for the summer, hoping to find more time to work on ukulele skills:
Petty’s Free Fallin’ was a good challenge, a familiar tune but arranged to build strumming, muting, picking and tapping skills with a dash of syncopation.
    Thanks.

One of the great things about Rock Class 101 is that it offers an array of genres, which provides opportunities to identify personal musical paths and passions. So, thank you to Andrew and all of our wonderful teachers!

For this month, I chose Matt’s live lesson “3 Ukulele Goals to Set for 2025”. These included Refresh and Refine, Discover and Explore, and Challenge and Grow. Last month, I began exploring playing blues with a slide. I continued this journey with Rollin’ and Tumblin’ by Hambone Willie Newbern, and based my playing on YouTube videos by Fred Sokolow, daddystovepipe, and Michael August.

This month’s submissions were stunningly good – I enjoyed listening to all of them! 🙂

I picked Matt’s Sunset Skip for this month. The most challenging thing was the partial bar. I tried to learn all, but because either my fingers are not big enough or not flexible enough to bend in a certain way, I couldn’t do some but I managed one. My low-G ukulele is not very good sustaining sounds, but anyway, this is what it sounds like today.

    Hi everyone,
This month I chose the beautiful arrangement of “Morrison’s Jig”. It’s still full of fleas, and I didn’t manage to play it without music sheet as I always got lost in the song. 😅 I blame my new job – my brain is too occupied with it. 🙈
Anyway, I hope you enjoy. 😊

@mysticrick Thanks so much! You did a great job on Free Fallin’! That song has a lot going on with the fingerpicking/chords, tempo, backbeat…so iconic. 🙂

I worked on strumming and picking techniques with ‘House of the Rising Sun”….again another last minute entry…..not perfect, but here it is…..thanks Matt D. and Rocklass101 for a beautiful arrangement……

Also, @The_Bumble_Bard…..you hit it out of the park with your submission….very creative…”The Taming of a Wild Ukulele Heart”…..and the last part was just hilarious….really enjoyed it!

Everyone else great job….so impressed…..also a bit envious of all the new recording equipment some of you have invested in…..sounds great….makes a big difference in the end product.

As usual, many great posts this month. I worked on Free Fallin’, although little time to practice and so, be forewarned, this is a very rough attempt.
