ParticipantEveryone’s submissions are so good.
@shmu88 That was incredible. Wow… made me go pick up my uke to play ☺️. Loved it.
@willw18 Your baritone sounds nice. Great job.
@leb397 Enjoy the warm weather. You played that so sweetly. Very nice.
@deadbuggy That was great. Love to see when you play. You can tell you have experience. Cant wait till I can play like that ☺️
@karenj that was very nice. Is that a cocobolo uke? So prettyFebruary 17, 2025 at 10:42 am #65640gi_gi_

ParticipantHi All,
Here’s my rendition of Daybreak. I love the sound of the open chords, and I chose to strum with my index finger instead of thumb since I preferred that brighter sound with this song. Please do not include me for the drawing this month. Thanks!
@willw18 it sounded great on the baritone! Well done!-

Keymaster@shmu88 – I’d say it was magical! That was awesome Sam! My only suggestion would be to experiment with playing it at a slightly slower tempo. You may find it breathes more.
@leb397 – I loved it Louisa! So beautifully played, I’m gonna share your performance in our newsletter this Friday 🙂
@willw18 – Aced it Will! You play with such great feel and tone!
@anyon1 – Index finger works! The cool thing about playing uke is that there’s so many options available to us in how we choose to play a piece and what matters is using proper form and tone/feel. You nailed both! It was absolutely beautiful played Adriana!
@aletski – Great to see you back Alet! Strumming and chunks sound great! Only thing I’d suggest working on is the ending lick. Try this: loop the last 4 bars in the tab player and try to match my playing as best you can. It’s a little tricky rhythm and feel wise. But that approach should help you get it!February 19, 2025 at 8:43 pm #65652leb397
ParticipantOh wow @andrew, thank you! Sooo many great entries and you are sharing mine 😌 feel very happy.

ParticipantCongrats, @leb397! It was a lovely rendition, played well. I’m ready to submit a video of the same song – just have to have a few quiet minutes to do one.
So many great entries this month, as usual. I love hearing what everyone’s doing.
@The_Bumble_Bard: Are you still frozen in? We beat our record of being snowbound this year, going twelve days without being able to get down our driveway. Our area doesn’t get that many snowfalls a season, so it’s hopelessly ill-prepared to handle one when it happens. And our road is last on the priority grid, so by the time they get to us, the road is a solid sheet of ice (winding down a hill, with a lake at the bottom).February 20, 2025 at 8:49 am #65656leb397
Participant@grannieannie thank you. Yikes you must be tired of the snow bound life! Sounds like a lovely place in S,S,Fall.
We will be heading north soon… I highly recommend the winter break 🌞☺️. Look forward to your entry.February 22, 2025 at 10:49 am #65666misterbones
ParticipantHere’s my rendition of the Magic Ukulele Waltz. I learned it on my regular uke, but then thought it sounds cool on the Bajolele, kind of adds to the vintage-esque vibe of the tune. I also felt like playing it somewhat slower and adding a light swing feel, just liked how that sounded.
Please no giveaway entry for me this month. Thanks!February 22, 2025 at 4:20 pm #65667marianne
Participantthanks a lot @the_bumble_bard, @dianna, @gi_gi_ and @leb397 🙂

Participant@misterbones really like the banjo ukulele sound on this. 👏

Participant@misterbones – good choice! I love that you did this one on the banjolele. Just a happy breezy little number. You played it lovely. 👏 👏
