I’m a complete newbie to Ukulele.
I really like the unique sound of the ukulele.
So, what part of the ukulele do you think is the most charming aspect? Sound? Shape? Style? Hawaiian culture?

So when I go out to the city to Busk to try to get money I’m out jamming for around 2-4 hours and pads of my fingers get so blistered I can’t practice for like 2 days. so my question is, is there any way to not destroy your hands while jamming with fingerstyle. Thanks – taz

After a friend accidentally dropped my uke, a piece of wood broke off from inside the uke. Will this damage affect the sound of my uke? I haven’t noticed much of a difference, but I thought the piece must have been there for a reason.

I am a 74 year old customer of Uke Republic.Been playing for awhile but, at my age I find my strumming fingers hurt when I play–Mostly around my cuticles. What can I do to help this? And would a more expensive ukulele lessen this. If so, what would you recommend in the $500 range?

How do you fix an echo on a cheap ukulele? Intonation is fine, I tried putting a sock in the body… helped a little.
(I have a nicer ukulele but wanted one that was cheaper to take out and about, but it sounds awful)
    Thank You!

I’ve been trying to teach my self triple picking with a thumb pick. Usually when I learn a technique I find a video of a simple song where it is being used so I can slowly imitate it. Unfortunately, the only videos I could find triple picking being used in are by the uke masters like Jake, Taimane, Honoka and Azita, and Aldrine; where they are going insanely fast and their fingers are flying across the fret board. Do you know of a song that uses this picking but is a little less fast on the fretting hand?
    Thanks!

Does a solid wood ukulele really sound better than my laminate one?

Hello Andrew, I was wondering: How does the structure of the ukulele change the sound that is produced?

Hi! I was wondering if the size, form and position of the soundhole on the uke makes any difference in the sound?
If yes, what is the most preferable size/form/position of the soundhole? I’ve seen them in the form of a cat, flower, turtle, some curves, etc. Thanks!

On some chords, I find it hard not touching other strings. What do you suggest to prevent this?

My Ukulele Lightning Round 2 question is : Is there an internationally recognised ukulele playing grading system like piano playing? If so, what is the website for it? Thank you.

What should a ukulele beginner learn first? Fingerpicking or strumming?

Do you do some sort of “warm-up” before you start practicing a song? Like a melody you always play to stretch your fingers or something like that?

Do you recommend low G string tuning? What are the benefits and is it worth it after finally sourcing a nylon G string? (the struggle is real… really tempted to use fishing gut)
