    @emiliano – That was awesome Emiliano! Def gonna share this in tomorrow’s email!

    @lucauka
    – That was amazing, Luca! You’re making incredible progress in your playing. I want you to try practicing with Matt in the tab player. But take it section by section and slow the tempo down. Try your best to match his playing 100%. And check out this video/article. It talks about why this is important. It was one of the big takeaways I got from music college πŸ™‚

    @leb397
    – Way to go Louisa! Great take! I thought your playing was very clean. I would focus on smoothing out the transitions where there was a little hesitation. Keep up the great work!

    @deadbuggy
    – So much fun to watch and listen to Sara! You played it with such great feel! πŸ‘

    @kittycatlin
    – Awesome performance, Cat! You nailed the fun vibes of this tune! One suggestion, in bar 12 (last bar before the Outro), the second note (open A), keep that one held out for a half note. I heard a quarter in your take, which turns the bar into 3/4. So a half would keep us at 4/4 throughout the entire tune πŸ™‚

    Unfortunately, we have to cancel tomorrow’s live lesson as Matt’s feeling a bit under the weather. It will be re-scheduled for later this month. We’ll post the new date and time here.

    @kelsey91 – I loved it! I’m gonna feature your song in our newsletter tomorrow πŸ™‚

    @malku2603
    – Beautifully played, bravo! πŸ‘

    @akukes73
    – So peaceful sounding. Beautifully written and performed Ash ❀️

    @ldarrow
    – You aced it! Great feel and playing Linda!

    @morrieuke1
    – I really like the chromatic movement throughout the piece! Well done both of you!

    @frederic
    – Playing sounds great! I do hear that you changed the rhythm to what’s shown in the tab below. The original keeps it as steady eighths over beat 2. So just wanted to point that out incase you weren’t aware of the change you made. It works though! Sounds great!

    @marthad
    – Fingerpicking sounds great! I saw your follow up note about swing/straight. I let folks choose which feel to use b/c the song sounds great with either. The only suggestion I have for you is to work on the transitions to eliminate any pauses. Try playing along with a click, that’s a great way to work on this. And very cool ending, I like what you wrote!

    @jbmills07
    – You nailed the feel, Justin! And that uke sounds amazing!

    @rgillof
    – Beautifully played, Richard!

    @grannieannie
    – Beautifully played Annie! I have one suggestion when you play the quarter note melody lines, try to pluck them softer like you do in the Travis picking section. So for ex:

    Listen to your video, the phrase you play from 0:54 to 1:02, compare that to 1:02 to 1:22, and you’ll hear the difference. All you have to do is use a lighter pluck on those single notes πŸ™‚

    @maryjanew
    – Great playing MJ! Hope you have an awesome trip! πŸ™‚

    @marlongas
    – Beautifully played! Your fingerpicking has such a great tone, well done!

    @gstriph
    – Very well played Jerry! Fingerpicking sounds great!

    @johanna2509
    – Well played Johanna! The uke has such a lovely warm tone! It was perfect for this tune πŸ™‚

    @anya09
    – A fantastic first post Anya! You’ve got the pattern down! Fingerpicking sounded great! Hope to see you in more challenges πŸ™‚

    @emiliano
    – Wow Emiliano! Such a beautiful composition. I just sent it to Mika to watch with your comments about his lessons πŸ™‚

    @1481632_m
    – Beautiful playing! You’ve got the pattern down so the only suggestion I have is to practice the Melody section with a focus on eliminating the pauses during the transitions. Try playing along with a click, that’s a great way to work on this.

    @ruthie-roo
    – Beautiful composition! I especially liked how it continued to develop throughout, which keeps the listener engaged. Well done! I hope you continue to write, you’ve got a knack for it!

    @dianna
    – I love the story behind the song, Dianna! Great writing and performance! πŸ™‚

    @jedart – The picking pattern sounds great Jed! The only suggestion I have is to keep your middle finger anchored on the G string for the A minor chord in bar 14 so the bass note rings throughout the measure.

    @misterbones
    – I love it Michael! Sounds like something we’d hear in a Tim Burton film!

    @The_Bumble_Bard
    – It’s a very beautiful tune, Rachael. I also really like how the clawhammer technique gives it a driving rhythmic feel. And the switch to fingerpicking at the end gives it a very soft and sweet resolution. πŸ™‚

    @karenj
    – Very beautifully played, Karen. Well done!

    @leb397
    – This def counts Louisa! I love the blues and yours has a fun lyric with great rhythm and licks! And TY so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it!

    @swissconsinboy
    – I really enjoyed your song, Gregory. It has a fun, upbeat feel and had me tapping my foot while groovin’ in my chair! πŸ™‚

    Yes, before exporting. In the export menu, you’ll see the option to normalize, all you have to do is enable it πŸ™‚

    Your setup looks great! If you’re recording with a mic, you don’t want to play back the sound through speakers. You can play it back through the studio headphones.

    Did you try normalizing the audio? That’ll boost it up to an industry standard level. If you did, and you feel it’s still too low, I’d play around with the settings on the interface. You may have it set too low.

    Try playing around with the mic position too. You might get a better sound by bringing it closer to the soundhole.

    @rebeca – So beautiful, Rebeca πŸ™‚

    @malku2603
    – Timing and feel were spot on Akansha! I’d call that a wrap up this tune. Well done! πŸ‘
