    @ryanuke:
    I hope you read this here as soon as possible.
    You took part with a Christmastune but in November it has to be a Fingerpicking Etude – you can reach them fast by a link in the opening post by Andrew.

    I think you can do it in time, good luck!

    Not an entry. I had to try Etude 35. It It sounded so good on baritone. I liked playing it at a slow easy pace. Just sounded right to me

    I’ve chosed for this month Fingerpicking Etude no. 16. It is really awesome, but had this month a lil problems with my left hand, so it didn’t really went well, as i wished :S In middle of playing jumped off a rhytm a little.. Oh well, hope it is enough, next month gonna work harder (if my hand gonna let me :x).

    @ryanuke – Robert, that piece will be on next month’s challenge, but it is not a choice for this month. Only the original etudes in our Fingerpicking Etude Series are choices for this month.

    @alanaw – Very nicely played, great fingerpicking! The one thing I would suggest would be to practice with a metronome. That’ll help keep your timing steady throughout. Also, don’t forget to tune up before recording 😉

    @ldarrow
    – Wonderfully played, Linda! The tone of your baritone is beautiful. It fits the vibe of this piece perfectly 🙂

    @otzepeng
    – It would be embarrassing if I admitted how many takes it took for me to play Theme 3 😅. It’s the finger frenzy that your left hand has to do to get all those melody notes in, and as you said, the tempo! I thought you did really well on all 3 themes. You nailed the feels and vibes of each! Great playing overall Markus!

    @planetfink
    – Great take Kathy and the bari sounds great too!

    @kanique
    – I thought you aced it Dorota! It was so much fun to listen to! And great job on the recording and mix, sound quality was superb!

    @Andrew, thank you the the kind words. I went back and watched my entry of two years ago and was pleased it actually showed improvement! 😁. Thanks again.

    @the_bumble_bard
    thank you for the comments and kudos. I have been doing more with clawhammer and hope to tackle a new song.

    @gi_gi_
    hope you get your entry in. I often make a quick comment when a challenge opens just so I can click the box and get notified when everyone enters. I’m sure you do the same. Hope you get your entry in.

    @marianne
    – love that #26 so beautiful on the baritone. @karenj – you played flawlessly and always like your connection with the camera…

    @lhamilton
    I have IMovie too and tried, on previous entry, to combine the audio and video – struggled because I didn’t have a mac but only the ipad. Good luck. you did a nice job on both parts. Anxious to hear what you use next.

    @grannieannie
    the challenges are always a struggle for me. Old fingers don’t connect with my brain. I practice A LOT and find it just takes more time. I will pick a piece that I like and then say “WHY”, because it’s difficult – But it motivates me. Good luck with #17 and have great holiday.
    See you all again in December! Louisa
    PS – many more need positive comments but PLEASE KNOW this group rocks. Everyone is so good.

    @Andrew

    Thank you very much for the kind (and honest 😂) words. Maybe it would have been better to record each part separately and not the whole tune, but that was the goal I had set for myself. Now I’ve hammered it into my fingers so many times that i’ll never forget this etude.☺️
    By the way, it was at 165 and not 156 bpm as i wrote … crazy!

    I didn’t read all the instructions, and missed I was supposed to post that line in the submission. I couldn’t find a way to edit submission so created a new post.

    Hi everyone,
    I watch all your submissions and enjoy them. You motivate me to practice regularly.

    This month I chose Etude No. 9. I have always really liked the classical guitar technique “tremolo”, but I have never decided to practice it. Until now. I found this etude to be a very good tool. So I’m adding an extra part by repeating the second part (triplet picking) again with tremolo. One month of practice is not enough, so the result is not very good. But I continue practicing the tremolo.

    The last part of the etude also needs a lot of practice. I can play it well separately. However, it is very frustrating when I have played first parts of etude to my satisfaction and then the last (really the most difficult) part comes and I mess it up.

    @Andrew
    , wouldn’t it be better to put the hardest parts of the piece right at the beginning?
    I’m kidding!

    @Andrew
    , I really appreciate what you’re doing for this community that you’ve actually put together. Thank you!
