New month – new challenge. Green Tea for me – I’ve heard about the health benefits.

Happy plucking everyone and don’t forget February 2nd is World Play Your Ukulele Day.

I can’t believe the end of the month has come!

Latest run through can be viewed at:

Execution – probably haven’t spent enough time focussed on the most difficult sections.
    Application – Partly successful
Evaluation – Still not perfect although I’ve been trying to make sure that the left hand fingers are better positioned. The transition from the F chord to the G5 still isn’t smooth but hey I couldn’t play any of this 4 weeks ago.

Here’s to the next challenge! Good luck everyone ….. into the breach …………..

Thank you for the video feedback Andrew. I’ll be mindful of the positioning of the ring finger following the F chord and have a look at your Left Hand Form lesson.

I’ll have a go with the alternative fingerings for the G5 etc. chords. I had thought about using different shapes although I thought it might be ‘cheating’ not to use the fingering you showed in the lesson! As you say, anything to make it easier.

First video post so hope the link works OK. Still having trouble moving to the G5 chord and also remembering to move through the sections with the right fingering.

    One week to go!

    Good luck everyone.

    1) Execution – I’ve been playing for just over 2 years. Mainly strumming, so I have set myself a challenge to improve my fingerpicking and be able to play a tune steadily without mistakes by the end of the month. I see that there’s a fingerpicking course available on the site so I’ll have a look at that. I’m aiming to practise for a minimum of 15-30 minutes every day.

    2) Application – Probably using one of the Etude pieces.

    3) Evaluation – Making a video of my playing, analyzing where I am still not confident and then targetting those passages for further work. Looking for constructive criticism along the way.

Hi Taimane. What is the creative process behind your music?
