Here’s my take on Stacey Kent’s rendition of the Jazz Standard, “That’s All”@mattukulele How exciting Matt. Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of the adventure. I would like to learn the baritone one day but I’m far off from that right now 🙂 Hope you reach your goals.

@misterbones The sarod calls me too. It’s ironic that to play the uke your left hand needs no nails but to play the sarod you need nails 🙂 It’s beautiful. We’ll see how it goes. I’ll post whatever we bring back. Thanks for the videos.

@jbmills07 Regina has been blessed to have such a good support in your friendship. Sounds it is mutual. Maybe this special uke should be named after her. I’d say “Queenie” or something with queen in it since Regina means Queen in Italian ☺️. Anyone else with an idea for its name?
I have prayed for her and will continue to do so for you both and your families.

@misterbones I really enjoyed that. Indian music and singing is next level. We’re planning a trip there this year. Maybe I can come back with an instrument. Any suggestions are welcome.I have some ukes I don’t use because I lean towards one or two. Should I at least play the others every once in a while? Is it bad not to play them? Especually if they are solid wood?
One more thing I really want to work on this challenge is to play without hinge-ing from the elbow. I want to play from the wrist as all the seasoned players do. If I don’t pay attention I start to hinge from the elbow automatically 🙂
1. Ok I will work on an arrangement for the Jazz standard, “That’s All”.
2. I plan to sing as I play so I will focus on smooth chord transitions, a variety of interesting strumming patterns while chucking a bit.
I would like to memorize it all and play and sing with feeling.
3. I hope to practice 5-15 min a day.Oh my I need a plan. I will work one out and respond back in a couple of days. Love all the choices made thus far.
@Andrew I’m sure most would be ecstatic with one 😬.
Two Kanile’a wins? 😱 Happy for you @jbmills07 but uh @Andrew shouldn’t there be a limit to the Kanile’a possibilities? 😆

Fingerpicking Etude #1
I like the way it sounds slow so that’s why I play it at this tempo.
Got some glitches in there 🙂 I’ve played it before but had to relearn it.I now know I need to comment at the beginning of each challenge or I will miss out on all these wonderful submissions. Good job everyone.
