@mysticrick I found out about the Allegheny Soiree after the fact. I definitely would’ve tried to attend. May I ask what you’re using to get such a great sound out of your uke? Do you have it plugged into an amp? If so, which one? It’s a beautiful uke.I enjoyed everyone’s submissions very much.

Hello everyone. I’ve been missing for a few months but happy to post today. I love Steve’s ‘The River Song’ so I’m attempting it this month. My ears enjoy it a little slower so I played it that way.

Wow you’re submission is going to be wonderful. You are so creative. Yes this is a classic song of Aldrine’s and Ukulele Underground. Ernie Cruz is the original singer of the song. I didn’t know they won a third time for their podcast 🙂 Boy do I miss those Friday night jams and the podcast. It was so much fun.

1. Execution: Working on the E chord while singing and playing rhythmically all at the same time 🙂
2. Application: I will work on learning “One day soon” by Ernie Cruz. The arrangement is of Aldrine Guerrero
3. Evaluation: A. Learn all the chords of the song, B. work on transitioning from the chords smoothly, C. Learn the intermediate strum and chuck of the arrangement (not the advanced one 🙂 D. Put it all together by 3rd week and practice the 3rd and 4th weeks until it feels good.@mystick A huge congrats on winning the Kanilea uke 🙂

I have been so out of playing. We had a big trip abroad for over a month and when we came back I wanted to do Moondance badly but couldn’t fit it in and get my life orgazized in time. I signed up to this website for the very song, “La Gitanita” and never learned it completely. Maybe I’ll do that to get back on track of playing the ukulele. I miss it so much and miss all you guys too.
