    Hi
A few more thoughts…I have done many of the lessons in the courses but I often run into snags so maybe you can offer some trouble shooting pointers? For example, lots of time when I hammer on, I get no sound or its only half the volume…why? How do I fix it? Ditto on slides. Also, you have a course on strumming but as I get better and try your upper level songs, I notice that you do a rolling kind of strum…how do you do that? So in essence, you could have a lesson or two on techniques and the pitfalls and ways to get better sound (you make everything look so easy but it isn’t really!!!). Just like you have levels in the songs, maybe there is more advanced strumming techniques and other uke techniques beyond the basics? The exercises in the beginner class were good foundations but somehow when I try the same thing in the songs, it doesn’t work! Or maybe it is just me!

    Hi there:
First off, I do love this site and your tutorials since it is not focused on strumming and singing, but that said, it would be fun to include a song to sing along with every now and then especially if it included some of the things you are known for like fingerpicking techniques and playing the actual riffs or other cool parts of the song as appropriate for the particular song. Also, I really enjoy that you select songs that are not typical for the uke so I would love more of that. It is really great to surprise my friends with songs that are unexpected for a ukulele.

I would love some lessons on chunking and other percussive techniques. I love the sounds of knocking and tapping when incorporated into playing so that would be fun too!

I am sure that whatever you decide to do, I will find something that I will really enjoy. Thanks for all the wonderful challenges!

Hi! I really love your tutorials…a nice change from the usual strum and sing ones that are more typical on YouTube. My question: When I started playing a bought a cheap soprano ukulele and then upgraded to a very nice Concert. I would like to purchase another instrument and was considering a long neck soprano. What are your thoughts on long neck soprano ukuleles? Good idea or gimmick? Thanks!

Where I take lessons, we have to perform a song of our choice at the end of each class series. Even though I choose something that I love and really want to learn to play and I practice like crazy to have it perfect, I always have zero confidence on the performance day and become paralyzed with fear. You look so confident and amazing…any tips to get over stage fright?
    Thanks!
PS I love that you play and dance at the same time. Incredible!
