leb397Participant@nelsonlin2021 yes, that’s the hope… I love that song. How about you?
Thank on harmonics. Took me a while and even my entry wasn’t the best.
Love the pathways course. Really reviews everythingSeptember 3, 2026 at 11:45 am in reply to: Participate in the August 2026 Member Challenge – WIN $549 Kala Ukulele #84306
leb397ParticipantGreat job everyone. Love hearing new members join.
@anyon1 and @gi_gi_ very impressed with St James. You both added your own touch and I loved both. Tough choice!
@grannieannie chucking was good. It’s my hardest thing. Love everyone really taking a challenge.
@maryjanew how sweet your grandson. We watch our little ones a lot and Sharing music is so fun. Love it,
@dianna I thought you nailed the speed increase. Nice entry
@nelsonlin2021 I’m impressed with your tremolo. Looks so hard.
@the_bumble_bard by the skin of your teeth, you learn something new and get it in! You make my nerves go and edit a book! Crazy… hope you got it all done. Nice entry and btw I love spiders, especially jumping ones because they do have personality. Looking at you. If in the house, I move them outside. Hopefully next month is more calm.
On to September… I’m working on a duet!-

leb397Participant@Andrew thank you so much. I’m hoping to figure out the hammer on with Mr. Sandman. You make it look and sound so clear/easy 😁
It’s a goal.
Great playing everyone and thank you for the compliments.

leb397Participant@gi_gi_ I’m always amazed at Evan’s young talent. St James is slow, I’m sure you’ll get through.
I don’t think the harmonics would have come through without the microphone. A work in continued progress.
@misterbones you remind me to pick up my banjo Ukulele. “Sting” sounds so cool.👍 LouisaAugust 20, 2026 at 12:25 pm in reply to: Participate in the August 2026 Member Challenge – WIN $549 Kala Ukulele #84168
leb397ParticipantA few comments:
@anyon1 thank you for your kind remarks on last month. Note I used my LarkM2 mic as did @cyman_t and @gi_gi_ . I was able to fix the sound fading in/out on their app. Really helped with hearing the harmonics. Btw Cayman, loved Loke Lani, very pretty.
Oh and gi_gi look forward to St James. Cool song.
@otzepeng congrats on Andrew posting your entry. Very nicely played.
@joe150 want you to know I can really hear your improvement. Aura Lee is such a pretty song.
@patizon totally agree, who isn’t happy Travis picking anything! Good entry.
@heike_uke that’s a great Etude. I loved playing that. You did it perfectly.Last @brettboy how are you healing? Has to be frustrating. Get well.

leb397Participant@Andrew, can’t say enough about the Pathways course and new things I’ve learned. Many of the etudes and songs I’ve played and entered over last five plus yrs but I reviewed each and stopped at the next part I needed to learn. That was, intermediate harmonics! It may be my shortest entry, (minutes) but a real challenge.
Here is Amazing Grace

leb397ParticipantMorning RC friends. It is pouring rain and I’ve got some free time to “chat”. So many of us balance a busy life with work, family, daily tasks all by squeezing in practice on our happy ukulele’s. It does make me happy. It’s my “me” time. In a quiet place in our home. You can tell by the exact location of each post. I love seeing where everyone sits. In a bedroom, a bathroom- maybe and in their living area with windows to the outside. Even @Andrew has his spot with the same poster of the Beatles.
ANYWAY I want to agree with @the_bumble_bard how much we have all grown through this community. It’s noticeable! Rachel, you and I started posting about the same time, mine was April 2022. But it took me 2 years before I had the nerve to. Rachel I remember some of your first posts and how you have been a generous complimenting thread here. Andrew always gave positive comments and I would wait to read them but seeing your “community “ give a 👍 was a huge drive to improve. You have a big ❤️. Loved your entry and detailed commentary ☺️ I wanted to jump in with a big 🤗.
@dianna, lovely. Not many people have beautiful gray hair. @gi_gi_ is right. Glad you made it back
@katazumiri you continue to “up the bar” musically. So fun.
@shmu88 even with 90 takes, you completely nailed Georgia. Just wow.
@lhamilton I think La Vie is one of the prettiest songs. Well done
@anyon1 @clempek your House of Rising Sun was so good. Getting that strum pattern isn’t easy… I tried 😁
@gi_gi_ thank you for your comments. BTW you play with beautiful emotion and clarity. Kudos. Yes! (Very observant), I did get a new/ used ukulele. It’s a Kamaka tenor, in excellent condition. I put high G strings on it so I still play and love my low G ANueNue. The sound is amazing however, I’d love to add a Kanile’a to my family. Also I used the LarkMz too. Had trouble with sound fading in-out when I recorded. How did you get magnet backing inside Uke? I’d probably drop it 😆.
Still pouring but going to go practice for next month.
A big PS thanks @andrew
Also to the top entrants in our community, you make me want to play better!Rachel is so kind commenting on everyone. I do listen to everyone, 🎶🎶❤️🎶🎶

leb397ParticipantIt’s great to see so many entries last month and lots of new voices. 👏👏👏
Time to continue with the course.🎶🎶🎶July 30, 2026 at 11:56 am in reply to: Participate in the July 2026 Member Challenge – WIN $549 Kala Ukulele #84004
leb397ParticipantI started at the beginning of the Pathways course and worked my way through until I stumbled on the last song in beginner Classic rock strum riff. My “favorite “ chucking 😝 so that’s what I worked on. I’ll move on to next level till I stumble again. Nice variety of songs @andrew and they keep your interest.
Ps @karenj I like yours better ☺️
LouisaSo many great entries!

leb397ParticipantOh no @brettboy! I am so sorry to hear. A worst nightmare. I’ll miss your entry. What were you working on? Nice of @andrew to give you a current bye. Wishing you speedy recovery and your job too, yikes. I bet you had fun in Paris until then.
Btw I broke my wrist years ago doing the hokey pokey on roller skates 😆 and , of course heard the snap. Worst was still having a child in diapers… ugh.
Once your fingers aren’t as swollen, hopefully you can figure a way to practice. I definitely feel for you. Especially your entry streak! You and The_bumble_bard breaking your streak. I have my fingers crossed so far. Always look forward to the “regulars” and the newbees entries.❤️👏
leb397Participant@andrew, like the cleaner look. Especially listing the difficulty and tuning. Can there also be a “colored pill” for low or high G or either. I often want to know that right away when learning a song or choosing to play. Thanks. Louisa. Ps I know we have that in a search option.

Hello friends. @mysticrick and I worked on a duet with KEMPS JIG. Rick played his beautiful Kanile’a he won in December. He is not participating in the drawing but was great fun joining me this month. It’s hard enough playing solo but getting a respectable take with two, adds more work.
I too was not familiar with the song but it’s become an ear worm 😆. Very catchy. Also love the back story on how far Kemp walked…
Rick and I will continue to work on this as a pocket performance
Thank you @Andrew, really fun arrangement -
