Hi Andrew/Mike
I bought a not too expensive tenor ukulele some time ago which sounds terrible. I have been told that it may need the “action” looked at. My question is, am I able to rectify this problem myself or do I need to take it to a luthier, remembering that it was an inexpensive, but not cheap ukulele.

I’m very much the beginner and found both the playing and recording challenging. As I’m heading overseas for a 3 week break, flight is tonight, I thought I best submit now. I enjoyed doing this project very much and have picked up many skills.
Thank youHi Andrew,Thank you for such a prompt reply.In my hour of practice i tend to playalong with “Jill Reece” online headphones on. So i sound much better than i actually am. I try basic 4 finger picking and basic strumming, down down up up down up. My big problem without playalong is tempo.I just cant get the beat. So i guess my practice is not very well structured, I want to play every song now.
