It’s been great fun listening to all the entries this month! Great job, everyone! I decided to get a new low-G uke (a nice KALA) to play “People are Strange”. I practiced on my high-G until it arrived a week ago. Need more time to get used to it – having trouble with fret buzz. I can play it reasonably well until I try to record it. Then, like someone else commented, I just went down a rabbit hole. So here is my best effort, flubs and all. BTW: I managed to get a lovely case of poison ivy a few days ago. The worst spot is on my right forearm where I brace the uke. Ack!!!

Hopefully posting from soundcloud correctly. This was quite a challenge for a 5-month newbie. But I noticed improvement each day of practice. Great practice for hammer-on and pull-off. Was wishing I had a low G to play it. Tobias made it sound so beautiful and effortless!

I received my first ukulele this past Christmas. What fun! Found your Rock Classes on YouTube and became a member at the end of February. Making my way through the beginner lessons and decided to join in on the April challenge. I’ve posted audio of Day-O. The tough part is trying to not choke when making a recording. I love Rock Class!! You instructors are all amazing! Thank you for helping to keep my 70 year old brain active:)

oops. Downloaded from SoundCloud to my files and then posted. I see now I was to have posted a direct link from SoundCloud. Hope doesn’t disqualify. I’ll do better next time.
