Thank you, Andrew! Yep, you’re right, totally music reading. I was so close, but didn’t trust myself enough. I know that the more I memorize the easier it will become. Also, I noted for myself on this piece I was getting a much better feel for finding my notes by ear.
Thank you for the great feedback. I’m working my way through the feedback for others as well. As lisadmh pointed out, such a great resource for hints and instruction.

I had practiced this, almost memorized it and then got busy for 10 days so another last minute submission! My first video submission as well:
I’m seeing now it should be photographed in landscape. Oops.

Merry Christmas!

Whew. This has so much improvement needed. Every recording I’d get one part then another would fall apart, but I’m posting anyway. I knew going it that it would be a stretch and stretch me it did. BUT, I have learned tons in the practicing and with new techniques. Thank you for a wonderful challenge choice. I love the music. I’ll keep on keeping on. Honda

October 30, 2018 at 6:23 pm #19666hondamomParticipantI started to work on La Ganita but it just didn’t seem like I would be challenged as much and didn’t really like the style. I wanted to go for the leap forward so am working on “Moon” with apologies to Evan and Taimane.
I’m just going for it. It may be painful for Andrew and Stephen but I think I’ll grow so much more. My strength seems to lie in picking from some buried recesses of my folk guitar days. 😂
Thank you all involved for such a lovely challenge.October 26, 2018 at 12:29 am #19433hondamomParticipantThank you, timolnz for letting me know my submission posted correctly. I appreciate it!

Sorry for the big old head following: I thought it would be about a 1×1 square! Ha!
October 23, 2018 at 11:47 pm #19367hondamomParticipantSo great, Myc! I love that you played St. James Infirmary on a broken uke. Get it? “Infirmary” as in a hospital, clinic, sick, room. Very appropriate!! And well done!

I’ve have wondered why one would be chosen over the other? Is it a style/look consideration or something much more?
Thanks so much for sponsoring the the Challenge Giveaway with RockClass101!
