I just went to Amazon and should all low G strings be a metal wound strings? In addition, are Aquila strings sold as a package of 4 strings of GCEA or are they 4 low G strings?

I am a bit surprised that you play 50% on low G. Good suggestion. I also play a Baritone and love the full sound and lower sounds but of course the fingering is so much different. Coming from guitars, the chords on the Baritone are simple but, I am spending much more time on GCEA.
    Cheers…

Thanks to everyone for their contribution to this subject. It certainly clears up that question. I have 2 tenors and one concert, I think I will commit the concert to low G. Thanks again…cheers…

I really like the James Bond Theme posted. Definitely need my Cheerio’s to do that speed.

I am also very interested in learning the Main Movie Theme for-
THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS and/or the song THE KISS from the movie. Hopefully, at sometime they will be featured like the James Bond Theme.

I very much like Kalei Gamiao and Kimo Hussein. Kimo is quite nice teacher and gives so much of his time to explaining and demonstrating. James Hill is also a favorite

I have recently seen recommendations to finger the “D” chord using M-R-Pinky. Is there a real reason for this change from the norm?

Great idea. I am 73 and just started the course, too. I have been starting with the Baritone as years ago I played a folk guitar a bit so transition was a little easier but now have fallen for the Tenor. This is a very good transitional program for me and I hope this path continues to have you enjoy your retirement more.
