Here is my song choice for the month, The Skye Boat Song. The trickiest part of this song for me was the Bar D chord! I was starting to get it and untried on different uses to see which one played better. Now here are my excuses! my whole extended family got a nasty stomach virus and I was the last one to get it.(thought I’d dodged the bullet!!) I’ve been down fora couple days and I am still a little shaky. I have touched an Uke since Monday and I just gave a shot at it today took a few takes and just went with the last one. the arthritis in my left thumb is aggravated and that has limited me as well. ok excuses done, here is my version for now. This is definitely one I want to keep playing

@otzepeng -I thought about using that method for the bar D but didn’t. Maybe I’ll try that again. With my small hands, I think I kept muting the A string with the Bar Bm7.

Hi all,

I am a premium member.

This month I chose to learn the rhythm part to Spanish Days. Like anyon1, I added chunking to the left hand muting. It was fun to play, though getting the timing right with the backing track took many attempts!

(Struggling)with the technology! Heres my effort at One Finger Etude

Oh my gosh I’m too late, can’t believe it (somehow I thought April has one more day).
However I practiced the one finger Etude for the entire month so I’ll definitely share it here anyway.

Great tunes everyone. I learned a lot watching the other recordings.
I picked up the ukulele at the beginning of this year with the intention to spent less time on my phone (or any other screen).
And I’ve been playing every single day since.
Happy to be part of this community.

@leb397 Thank you for the welcome, Louisa! I never really left, have been lurking and letting my elbow injury heal, then took some time to get back up to speed before trying another challenge. It meant a lot to me to be able to post a challenge again after 8 months and hope I can stay healthy and keep it going! Your Travis picking sounds beautiful, very soothing and peaceful, and you look so relaxed. Looing forward to hearing your lullabies. Congrats on your new granddaughter!!
