    Hi everyone!

    In August, I decided to take on “Love Me Tender.” I based my approach on the live performances from the early 70s. Unlike the movie version—which featured only vocals, backing vocals, and guitar—the live performances included a full band. I’m going to add rhythm ukulele, bass ukulele, and drums to Andrew’s arrangement.

    Have a nice day! 🥰❤️🥰

    @shmu88 – Bravo! Excellent fingerpicking and strumming, Sam 👏

    @antotonin
    – Welcome back, Antonin! Excellent timing and feel! Great job on this duet 🙂

    @katazumiri
    – It sounds so beautiful as a band arrangement. Love it!

    I’m working on lesson 2 Etude #37. This will most defiantly be a pert of my practice/warm ups, it’s a great exercise for right hand dexterity. My performance is a little choppy, but this was the best take I have so far.

    @jedart – Very beautifully played Jed! The only thing I’d do is target the spots where there was a little hesitation or pause in the transitions. Keep up the great work!

    Once again, I thank you all for the great entries and congratulate you all on your great performances, they really keep me motivated and my list of “must learn” songs continues to grow. Here is my attempt at Chunking Etude Mini Lesson: 018, Im not up to speed and still struggle with the tricky part at bar 12, but it’s getting there!! Oh, and for some reason this one clicked and I was able to memorize the entire song!!

    Hi everyone, here’s my take for this month’s challenge.
    I picked the 12-bar blues. Actually, I learned this tune in the very first course I took here on RockClass101, the complete beginner course. So it was easier this time to learn it. But my biggest challenge was getting the timing right. And I’m still not sure whether I’m off the beat, actually.

    I’ve really enjoyed everyone’s entries — fantastic playing. See you all next month…

    @uketime, what was your performance recorded on? If it was an iphone or iPad, I think I know what you can do.

    Hi RC101 friends! Did you all have a great summer? ☀️
    Here is my entry for this month’s challenge. I chose the Strumming & Chunking Etude, and wow — during the first couple of weeks, I honestly thought I’d never get the hang of it! 😅 I’m so glad I didn’t give up, because it turned out to be so much fun, and I learned a lot along the way. Notice that smile on my face?!

    Summer has kept me really busy, so I haven’t been able to play as much as I would have liked, but I’m still really happy with how my performance turned out.

    Great entries, everyone! It’s always so inspiring to see what you’ve all been working on. 🎸

    @lhamilton Thank you but it was recorded on an Android samsung, I think it might e because I recorded with my phone placed sideways as my phone stand wouldn’t hold it straight up. But thanks again for your help 😊

    I know there is a way to edit photos by rotating them. Could that be a feature on your android for videos?

    @Andrew thank you so much. I’m hoping to figure out the hammer on with Mr. Sandman. You make it look and sound so clear/easy 😁
    It’s a goal.
    Great playing everyone and thank you for the compliments.

    I am a premium member.

    I always wonder how you come up with such diabolical exercises.
    I did the caged method exercise. I cannot believe how difficult it is to work with an accompaniment.
    The higher chord transitions are also a lot harder than the basic ones.

    Here it is, for better or worse.
