    Thank-you @gi_gi_ ….my hair has gone completely grey since beginning with RC101….🤪😂….it is a bit unnerving to witness the ravishes of time as I post from month to month and year to year…..though it doesn’t seem to be effecting anyone else in the group!

    @dianna Your hair is sooooooo beautiful. Amazing even 🥰 I have my share of salt & pepper strands but they’re more visible in the sun 😂

    Hahaha!! @Andrew, that is beautiful! That cracked me right up! I’m saving that one for later, LOL! When I first looked at it (on my phone), I didn’t notice that Tom Hanks was holding a uke! Absolutely perf!! And thank you – case in point why I love this community! 😂🥰

    @dianna
    , thank you so much, friend!! 🥰 I think that’s part of what made me start feeling emotional was looking back on when I first joined here and had literally no clue what I was doing, but felt such support and gained so much knowledge and experience over the years here – and some real friends, like you and @Gi_Gi_ (both of you have beautiful hair, LOL!). All of those things are so special! And how much learning ukulele helped with my personal confidence, like learning to speak on camera and that helped with my speech anxiety in every day life. And again with all the encouragement, helped with my confidence in my creative abilities. There’s so much. I have had a lot going on in my personal life which is why I haven’t been on here as much, but this community will have a special place in my heart forevs! 🥰

    Looking forward to this month’s challenge and exploring the Pathways course more!! 😀

    @the_bumble_bard You’re the best 🥰 this community wouldn’t be the same without you. When you started posting it was as if the lights got brighter. You helped us feel free to express ourselves and even to chuckle and have fun. Music should be fun. Thanks for being your authentic self my friend 🥰

    Morning RC friends. It is pouring rain and I’ve got some free time to “chat”. So many of us balance a busy life with work, family, daily tasks all by squeezing in practice on our happy ukulele’s. It does make me happy. It’s my “me” time. In a quiet place in our home. You can tell by the exact location of each post. I love seeing where everyone sits. In a bedroom, a bathroom- maybe and in their living area with windows to the outside. Even @Andrew has his spot with the same poster of the Beatles.

    ANYWAY I want to agree with @the_bumble_bard how much we have all grown through this community. It’s noticeable! Rachel, you and I started posting about the same time, mine was April 2022. But it took me 2 years before I had the nerve to. Rachel I remember some of your first posts and how you have been a generous complimenting thread here. Andrew always gave positive comments and I would wait to read them but seeing your “community “ give a 👍 was a huge drive to improve. You have a big ❤️. Loved your entry and detailed commentary ☺️ I wanted to jump in with a big 🤗.

    @dianna
    , lovely. Not many people have beautiful gray hair. @gi_gi_ is right. Glad you made it back

    @katazumiri
    you continue to “up the bar” musically. So fun.

    @shmu88
    even with 90 takes, you completely nailed Georgia. Just wow.

    @lhamilton
    I think La Vie is one of the prettiest songs. Well done

    @anyon1
    @clempek your House of Rising Sun was so good. Getting that strum pattern isn’t easy… I tried 😁

    @gi_gi_
    thank you for your comments. BTW you play with beautiful emotion and clarity. Kudos. Yes! (Very observant), I did get a new/ used ukulele. It’s a Kamaka tenor, in excellent condition. I put high G strings on it so I still play and love my low G ANueNue. The sound is amazing however, I’d love to add a Kanile’a to my family. Also I used the LarkMz too. Had trouble with sound fading in-out when I recorded. How did you get magnet backing inside Uke? I’d probably drop it 😆.
    Still pouring but going to go practice for next month.
    A big PS thanks @andrew
    Also to the top entrants in our community, you make me want to play better!

    Rachel is so kind commenting on everyone. I do listen to everyone, 🎶🎶❤️🎶🎶

    @leb397 Thanks so much. I agree with you @anyon1 That was wonderful the way you played House of the Rising Sun.

    About the magnet…I did drop it a couple of times before I put my fingers inside the uke, under the E and A strings then dtopped the magnet inside my hand and slowly moved itnover 😂
    I knew that was a Kamaka. It is gorgeous. Wow. Sounds good too. Those are very hard to find used. What a great find.

    @leb397, Louisa, thank you sooooo much for your kind words! They really truly touch my heart and I’m crying all over again, contrary to @Andrew ‘s custom meme, my “ukulele life” is one of the contexts I’ve cried the most! 😆 Mostly out of being so incredibly touched by the kindness and support of everyone in this group especially! And how much I’ve grown as a person because of the people here encouraging me as I’ve tried things that terrified me, like playing in front of people, which I still struggle with to this day but never would’ve improved as much as I have without the people here and ukulele as a kind of “excuse” to step out of my comfort zone. My ukulele is also sentient, his name is Ukebert, and his spiciness pushed me even further out of my comfort zone. All this to say, you were a huge part of that, Louisa, and many of my ukulele arrangements exist because of you, all the hymns! That’s pretty amazing! Because when you’re not sure of yourself, a kind word means so much more than people realize for creative growth.

    I’m getting emotional again! For me, Andrew was one of the biggest encouragement as well and his feedback gave me so much confidence when I first started out especially. Along with the conversations we’ve had about creating music. I can never really express my gratitude for that! And Matt was such a huge influence as well with all the extra info he taught me about arranging songs on uke along with just… what is happening with the ukulele itself, how it’s laid out. So much gratitude! 😅🙏🥰

    @Gi_Gi_
    you’ve become such a dear friend to me and your encouragement has helped me feel even freer to be myself here! We’ve had so many laughs over the years. Do you remember Drewmpa Loompas?! That just popped into my head, I don’t even remember why that tangent happened. 😅😅😆 So many good times! And then us doing the open mics together which Tim from UU is letting me pretend to host (really assistant host / secretary)! I never would’ve even dreamed that could happen without you inviting me to those!! Thank you, friend! (Gotta get ready for that, speaking of!) I also will catch you up on the situation I was telling you about, but it got way worse / better since we last talked! The End to this novel, but in short, I love everyone here, especially those I got a chance to bond with! Please get hashtag blessed!! 😅🥰🙏

    @the_bumble_bard Don’t get me started with the Drewmpa Loompas and the DNA that would be left on Andrew’s uke that was gonna be given away. He wound up pulling the uke from the challenge. We had the best laugh off of that one 😂🤣😆😂🤣😆

    @gi_gi_ hahaha!!!!!!! I completely forgot about that tangent!!! 😅😅😭😅 Man, we really missed our shot with that one! How are we suppose to clone Andrew now?!? He got wise to our scheme! Haha!!! Good times! 😅🥰😆
