Thanks @gaberdude. That’s what I was aiming for, but at the same time I was really disappointed with what I ended up with. I think I’ll put it aside for a while and revisit it in a few months.

I will check out that mishap with my finger. I definitely was not aware. I am looking forward to doing Jurassic Park this month. Have already had a go with Star Spangled Banner! So much easier. Thank you for all of your help. You guys at Rock Class 201 are great and so is the rest of the community.

Or the 7 th note of the corresponding F scale.

In our key of C and on our chord F that would be the g-note.

I found it interesting in the lyrics that I think the point was to NOT have to many things to do together under the mango tree. Day and night together in balance.

@jinajupiter – the way I interpret the lyrics is that right now, Jack has too many things to do and he’s stressed, but if he got to sit beneath the mango tree with his love, he wouldn’t have so many things to do and he’d relax.
Gaberdude, 1st chorus he sings from the maj 7th, in our key it would be: e, e e e e d d d c c, e, and the 2nd chorus he starts lower, from the 5th note, so in our key, c, c c c a c c c a b, a. :). So both chorusses are quite different though sound similar.
RobinBoyd, I felt it was more about dreamworld into the daily life, and memories into the night, so two together,
united relaxed under the mango tree.
