I saw today there is a new Axel F/ Beverly Hills Cop movie coming out in July!!!! Did you know this before @andrew ?
So cool. I haven’t played with a back track in a while. Loved Eddie Murphy in these movies. So here’s my take… LouisaJune 18, 2024 at 11:02 pm #62031Andrew
Keymaster@leb397 – Yes! That’s why we did it. I can’t wait to see it too 🙂
You aced the performance! Awesome job nailing all the rhythms and locking in tight with the bass 👏

Participant@andrew thank you! I’ve said before that the playback feature is the best tool. Unless you could memorize the timing with the base, it was hard to stay with the beat. Glad I didn’t wear out the key 😁
Look forward to the movie!
Great entries Rock Class

Participant@gi_gi_, loved your take on Yellow Submarine! Quite magical!! 😁😂💕 @leb397, really great take on Axel F! I’ve never seen any of those movies but I love the theme song! Sounds super cool! 😁😂😅💕 @annemarie, very lovely take on “What Was I Made For?”! So beautiful. That song falls into the category of songs that I feel are perfect for Matt’s style of arranging/playing. Boy are those chord changes tricky in places though. I’m still working on it, hopefully can record it this weekend! Anyway, very lovely take! And everyone else too so far! 💕🥰😅

Participant@the_bumble_bard thank you. You should definitely watch Beverly Hills cop. They were funny movies with Eddie Murphy’s ad lib humor. The new one has actor Joseph Gordon Levitt as his side kick. The tune was always connected with the series which is why I picked it.
@gi_gi_ lovely YS. I think that song was my 1st or 2nd entry on RC few yrs back and I was so green I really struggled. Fast cord changes I just couldn’t do. Nicely done though. I think you asked me about meeting Jake S. On other page, I had heard of him but I think his fame has exploded even since five years ago. Go if you ever get a chance.
Happy Summer Solstice RC friends. Hope some are playing live for make music day. 👏🎼🎉🎼🌞June 19, 2024 at 8:30 pm #62036annemarie
MemberThank you, Bumble Bard! I wore a pink t-shirt just for that song 😉✌️

Keymaster@clempek – Excellent fingerpicking Clem! My only suggestion would be to play along with Mika in the tab player a few times. That will help strengthen your timing and eliminate a few minor pauses here and there. Well done overall!

Hi all!
Despite La Bamba being the most suited for low G, I decided to go for “What Was I Made For?” because it is such a beautiful arrangement. I love the chorus with the harmonics. 😊❤ I tried to adapt it for low G with the same changes that @marianne made for her baritone, but it didn’t make much sense on a high G because the low g string was omitted so many times. Maybe next month I can play my new low G uke for the challenge! 😉
This month I recorded audio and video seperately, because I wanted to add a reverb effect like @marianne, I liked it so much, her performance is beautiful. 😊 I experimented with different settings, because the pick up picks up everything, even the slightest noise from moving the fingers over the strings.
When recording the video, the rubato made it difficult to play it exactly like the previous recorded audio. 😅 I could record outside with all the dogs barking though. 😅-

Participant@johanna2509, really beautiful playing, friend! Pretty setting as well! Not really one mistake in there, very impressive! 😅😂💕
@leb397, ha, maybe I’ll have to give those movies a watch! I love JGL, too, he’s a funny character. 😂💕
@annemarie, that’s presh with the pink! I had Barbies growing up. Sometimes I treated them more like the kid from the first Toy Story treated his toys but I had them nonetheless. I probably shouldn’t admit that. 😅😂😂😅June 22, 2024 at 2:23 pm #62046johanna2509
Participant@The_Bumble_Bard Thank you so much for the kind words! 😊💕 Ha, I actually made a mistake in the video recording in the last bar (I don’t know what my brain is doing sometimes). 😂 I recorded the Outro again and cut the video. 😅

Participant@johanna2509 very pretty. Such a good emotion. Can’t wait for the low G debut.
@gi_gi_ thank you. Congrats on @andrew posting your YS take!
@the_bumble_bard appreciate your positive comments. Now that summer challenges are on hiatus, you’ll have to post more “noodling “. Love that Matt is doing a lesson on it too.
@clempek love that song I find it mesmerizing. Nicely done. -
