ruiafonso70Participant@andrew no, it was not intentional. I’m a beginner. I also noticed that I failed a few notes in the beginning. I was focusing more on the 3 fingers and on the pull-offs. I find it very hard to play along with the instructor ( Matt in this case) and with Rhythm counting. Too many things to pay attention to. I tried to feel the rhythm more than counting, and also to play as fast as Matt did. That was on purpose but not trying to achieve the final result. Thanks for the feedback. @ukefinlandgirl, I guess you were mentioning what Andrew wrote , right?

ruiafonso70ParticipantI’m finally being able to play the theme and listing to Matt. Look at my setup. Electric uke, headphones and air phones at the same time. Thanks once again for the feedback.

AndrewKeymaster@ruiafonso70 – Jump into our reading course, that’s the best way to gain a thorough understanding of rhythm and timing. And you headphones setup looks great! That will def help 🙂
@terryfallon3 – Really nicely played Terry! Great work this month 🙂November 14, 2024 at 12:26 am #64469
ukefinlandgirlParticipantHi @ruiafonso70.
Amazing setup.
Yes, I almost thought it was intentional and after that I thought you are also a beginner.
Great playing. You are on the right path.
Having a metronome app on your phone or on your computer might also be really helpful. It helps you develop your rhythm counting.
I wish you the best on your ukulele playing journey.

I sign in and out of both YouTube and RC101. Sometimes this will resolve issue temporarily, Not always. Suggestions?November 14, 2024 at 1:54 pm #64471
ukefinlandgirlParticipantHi @mysticrick.
That is really odd.🤔
When you sign in to this site there is a box you have to click to confirm you are not a bot right underneath the info filling page when you scroll down.
But that is still really if you have clicked it and it still say that.

AndrewKeymaster@mysticrick & other folks that may encounter this issue – Starting in 2024, YouTube videos embedded on websites, including Rock Class 101, may show a message asking viewers to “Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot.” If you encounter this message, the only way to bypass it is to sign into your YouTube account through the same browser you’re using to access Rock Class 101.
To clarify, this prompt is asking you to log into your YouTube account, not your Rock Class 101 account. If you do not have a YouTube account, creating one is free. If you prefer not to create an account, try accessing Rock Class 101 via a different web browser, as the message may not appear there.
Rick, try staying logged into YouTube via the browser you use to access RC101. That will prevent the issue from happening.

Everyone’s entries sound lovely!
Took me a while to settle on one fingerpicking etude as there are so many melodically beautiful ones! Decided to go with No.26 as it is specifically for baritone and I also really like the travis picking technique.

I chose etude 2 because it sounds so happy 🙂 and I chose this take because I had a partner who decided to be a part of things as soon I hit play
Thanks Andrew!

Hey, it’s my submission with Fingerpicking Etude no. 5
I must have problems with the rhythm because I find that it sounds very different than Andrew’s version (which is much more beautiful). I’m not very happy with my performance… have a good day everyone, there are really a lot of talented players on this forum 🙂
