    @mepasha – Beautifully played, Peter! Great fingerpicking! TY for the kind words, I appreciate it!

    @kirpuff
    – That was awesome Sara! Fantastic playing and your cat is adorable ❤️

    @clempek
    – Clem, watch this video. You’ll hear me perform the same etude, but at a slower, more heartfelt pace than how I performed it in the original recording. I think it sounds better at that slower pace. So how does this all relate to your performance? Well, rhythmically, you played it correctly. So it’s not a timing issue. I would suggest changing the feel of the piece by copying what I did the second time around. Which is to let the piece breathe and flow more by slowing the pace/tempo. Give that a try!

    @katazumiri
    – This was amazing Lena! Def gonna share your performance this week on our socials and newsletter 🙂

    Yes @Katazumiri you are a hard act to follow….. always love your performances….that was great!

    I worked on Etude 5 this month…..These etudes are amazing and I am really enjoying listening to everyone’s submissions.

    Hello again,
    on your advice Andrew I tried to replay the music at a slower pace to try to make the music breathe more.
    I don’t know if it meets your expectations.

    Have a good day
    ps: @katasumiri you are amazing

    Hi Uke Fam. I learned Etude No. 35 this month 🙂
    Here’s me playing it in “three different flavors” 🙂

    @dianna – Beautifully played, Dianna! The only thing I’d suggest working on is smoothing out the transitions to minimize the gaps when switching between chords.

    @clempek
    – That flows better! I hear you rushing the first hit of the pattern. Make sure you hold it for a quarter note.

    @brettboy
    – It’s crazy how different each sound! If I had to pick one, I’d say the first is my fav b/c the low, deep tone reminds me of a haunting sound, kinda like the version of Mad World in Donnie Darko. Great playing all around!

    I haven’t submitted a video since June of 2023 and I feel like a beginner all over again. Ugh. I am reluctantly posting this one, but I know I need to participate in these challenges to get me back into a better practice routine. I’ve missed playing!

    Last month I tried working on Blue Moon, but just couldn’t get there in time. Also, I was a little intimidated by everyone else’s performances- you are all so good!

    P.S. Like my new profile picture? I got to meet my favorite recording artist, the GOAT jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli!

    Thank-you @Andrew….yes, I can hear those dang hesitations…..a combination of my little memory glitches and the mechanics of moving my hand up and down the neck…….I will keep at it, and hopefully it will become a bit smoother.

    Etude No. 35
    (By the way, I also preferred Brettboy’s first version)

    I don’t think I’ve seen anyone play this one yet this month – “eTude 04”
    I enjoyed this one so much! Playing up the neck (definitely out of my comfort zone), finally figured out what CAGED was, some pull-offs, short and easy to memorize. Such a happy little eTude 🙂

    Great job this month everyone!

    @lbilkie – Great to see you back, Lori! Your playing sounded beautiful! The only thing I’d suggest working on is smoothing out the transitions to minimize the gaps when switching between chords.

    @mark1256
    – I’d say you nailed it Mark! I also like the subtle changes in the H/O & P/O licks you made. Well done this month! 👏

    @nat-uke
    – Perfect playing Natalie! Great timing and feel, well done!

    Hello Friends o’ the Uke! 😊

    To all the entries I’ve gotten to see/hear so far, I’ll say in the (clean) words of Gordon Ramsay: “Wow, wow, wow, amazing” (even though he’s usually saying that because he’s upset / disappointed / about to fly into a rage, but not in this case). 😂 Maybe a rage of amazement

    I really wanted to try Etude No. 9 this month, that I uncovered in searching through the ‘Tudes, but I’ll be honest, I haven’t even started learning it, LOL. I may still have a chance to coming up, but I wanted to secure my entry, so I recorded a new version of Etude No. 5, which I’ve known and loved since I learned it around two years ago? I forgot how beautiful the original version is because I spent so much time HORSIN’ AROUND with it (noodlin’). That said, I added two “bonus versions,” kind of like what @brettboy did, really, really cool! But the two “flavors” are blended together with mine. I really like that you called them flavors, man. I also loved @dianna’s, your take was lovely, and @clempek’s had a very interesting, different, lovely sound to it. Oh, and @katazumiri, your entry was so much fun! That made me smile, so good. 😊 I have to go back because I know I missed some other great entries, too.

    Here’s mine:

    Obviously I didn’t accidentally jump back to random chords from different parts of the song. Your mom did that, actually, burn.

    Thank you for these amazing songs / challenges, as always! I feel we could hit up the ‘tudes for another challenge some time because there’s so many to choose from. 😊

    Thank you, @Andrew, it’s good to be back and yes, switching between chords is going to take some work because like @dianna my brain and my fingers seem to have different agendas! Coordination has never been my strong suit in anything, unfortunately! I’ll keep at it!

    I am thankful for this challenge! I chose Etude No. 36 with a three fingered approach. This is one I shall enjoy playing for a long time. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
