Participant@Andrew, your feedback and tips are very much appreciated!! I never thought to watch my own videos at 50% speed, but it was so interesting and I can definitely see my fingers hoping around and flying high here. Thanks for the pointers 🙂

Participant@Andrew, thanks for the feedback. I’ve been struggling with that particular slide + PO you mentioned, just to get it to sound good to my ear at first. I’ll give it more work tempo wise 🙂

annyukeParticipantHi Friends!
Amazing performances, everyone. Very inspiring. I really enjoyed watching all the submissions. And I got some ideas for what to learn next… 😉
@otzepeng your video was really fun. What a treat to watch (and listen to your fantastic playing).
@brettboy nice to see you playing again. I was always wondering how hard it would be to play again after an injury, but as you show, I don’t need to worry too much haha.I’ve been working on the Chunking Etude taught by Steven, who did a great job. It definitely gave me a hard time hitting those notes high up the neck. But I really fell in love with the tune and just couldn’t stop playing it.
I guess I still need to improve the tempo and the cleanliness of the sound/chunks. Also, after watching Andrew’s tips for @carynjoy (I loved your performance!), I think I’m making the same mistake: lifting my fingers too high.
So for now, here’s where I’m at:

brettboyParticipantAhoy Uke Fam! It’s wonderful to watch all your excellent uke playing! My wrist is continually improving and that feels great. This is my 3rd post of September and I feel caught up on the summer challenges I missed. This is the fun and joyous triplet strum pathway lesson called Loki Lani

katazumiriParticipantHi everyone!
I really wanted to do “The Entertainer.” The month is almost over, and I’m not sure if I’ll even have time next week. So, what have I managed to do so far? I’ve reached 65 bpm with the metronome (for further experiments). I know it doesn’t all sound clean in this recording 🙈🙉🙊
September 25, 2026 at 1:07 pm #84433
katazumiriParticipantAnd here is my experiment. The ukulele track was sped up to 95 bpm by the computer, and I added a rhythm section.
Have a nice day! 🎶🎩🎶

AndrewKeymaster@annyuke – Very well played! Great feel, rhythm, and chunks! The only thing I’d focus on is getting more consistency with making the melody come through crystal clear each time. For ex, listen to the 4 melody notes in your performance at 35 seconds vs. at 6 seconds. You can hear how you nailed that section the last time more so than the first.
@brettboy – Aced it! 👏
@katazumiri – I think you played it exceptionally clean! Keep working on increasing the tempo and keep up the great work! 🙂September 25, 2026 at 6:37 pm #84435
ccwukeParticipantHi, have enjoyed the entries so far this month. Here’s my recording of using the CAGED method to harmonise chords

AndrewKeymaster@ccwuke – You nailed the duet Chris! The only thing I’d change is to end the harmony on C too 🙂

grannieannieParticipantSo many great entries this month — thanks, everyone, for the inspiration.
I had to make it short and sweet this time — travelling again.

annyukeParticipantThank you very much @Andrew for your feedback. I’ll work on that melody consistency 🙂
