    December 20. Tuesday
    1. I went to the place on the form were said Learning Paths.
    2. I watched the Ukulele lessons, Take the tour video overview and Learning past three steps for practicing, repetition reinforcement and evaluation video.
    3. I watched the video of the lady with two months experience and I got to say she’s got a really nice ukulele and I wonder if she still posting on the form.

    4. I finished with learning Happy Birthday and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with the notes that I wanted to remember on the fret board of the ukulele.

This is how I’m approaching the study these songs. I’m focusing on a few children songs first to get the melodies and I’ve feel that the melody part of playing the ukulele is for me the most important, well one of the most important parts to approach studying the ukulele along with rhythm of course.

Hello kermit. I’m new also here. I haven’t joined yet, but looks like its going to be my New Year’s present. I see you are in Italy. My father is from northern Italy and my mother is from Sicily.
    Well, welcome aboard.

@leb397 I know these little gems would be the best way to approach the Ukulele from a complete beginner Ukulele player. As a parent who watch my daughter approach a song, it was always the melody notes that stuck with me. The chords will come in place. My goal, because I’m not good at singing, but I’m a storyteller that sings like talking on my tunes, I want to blend in fingerpicking with the melodies. I hope to find that path soon. Thank you for reading my post.

@gi_gi_ I would think that every new melody one would learn helps paint that canvas with new musical expressions. Perhaps that is what he meant.

Hello Louisa. You wrote that you and your husband do a lot of camping. My parents also. They were snowbirds in Arizona on that big government open land where all the campers camp. I’m sure you know it. Sadly I don’t recall the name of the city but it was the border town. I grew camping in Illinois along the Mississippi River in what is called the ” Quad Cities “. You know, Moline, East Moline, Rock Island and Davenport. So camping has always been with me. Here in Japan I cycle and camp for up to 3 months at a time. ( retired a few years back ) So I got the time and energy ( lol ) to do this adventurous stuff like a 12 year old child on his new birthday bicycle. I really enjoy cycling and also have a blog with over 43000 views. If interested, let me know and I’ll private message you here if possible. I can post pictures also here.
I’m new to the ukulele but been playing guitar and recently bought a bass guitar also. So ukulele is a new musical road map for me. There is a reason that I hope I took up the ukulele but for now I’ll see where the wind takes me. Tell me more about your camping ventures also.

@gi_gi Yes, touring Japan with the ukulele I think will fill the evenings with joy. I actually was at recycle shop looking for a travel size guitar and I ended being given this ukulele by one of the employees. He turns out to be a camper friend now for one year along with another camper friend that we did some trout fishing here in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. I’ll probably end up posting some Japanese cycling/tour pictures if you all don’t mind. So far I’m focusing on just two basic songs (children) that I’d like to bring into my English conversation classes later on, once I know what I’m doing. The subscription I’ll be getting for my end of New Year present to me.
Thank you and hope all is Ukulele well for you.
