garryrowParticipantHi Andrew,
I was looking at finger etude #13.
(Beautiful piece for such simple seeming music – very meditative) I play the opening bar (melody on frets 10 5 7 and 2) slightly differently to the way you show . Instead of sliding up and down I play fret 10 with my little finger (pinky) fret 5 with my 1st finger, fret 7 with my 3rd finger and fret 2 with my 1st finger again.
I presume this is OK for the challenge.
Cheers
Garry
garryrowParticipantActually I got up this morning and was able to do it. I was just moving my thumb too slowly. When f I put a bit more “zip” into it sounds better.
I might still upload a video if I can’t oerfect it .
Cheers
garryrowParticipantBeautiful . What a lovely little piece.

garryrowParticipantThank you Andrew . That’s very kind of you .
The recording is dreadful . I guess I need a mic for my phone . Next time I’ll try the laptop see if that’s any better.January 10, 2023 at 2:11 pm in reply to: Participate in the January 2023 Member Challenge: WIN Mainland Ukulele! #55667

garryrowParticipantThis is a lovely piece. Deceptively simple but needs lots of practice to keep smooth. Some of the transitions make this hard to do.
I will submit a video for feedback but as I live in the uk so wouldn’t be bothered with entry to the raffle. Though it’s a nice looking uke I guess. Better’n mine any way
Very clear and enthusiastic lesson. Enjoyed it a lot. Thank you Andrew’! -
