gi_gi_Participant@Surferjay Love the idea of going through the modules as a group.
gi_gi_ParticipantVery nice @Surferjay. Please keep posting things because it is encouraging me to start using my looper again. I made a small pedalboard because of your videos. I was interested after seeing Karlie G play but only thought I could do it after seeing you do it. Thanks.

gi_gi_ParticipantThings I never thought I would learn but have (to a decent degree for me):
1. The tremolo
2. How to play one of Evan’s arrangements 🙂
3. Never thought I would be able to change chords quicklyThings that still seem impossible:
1. Being able to take my uke and amp to a friend’s home and jam while we all sing together. Knowing how to detect which music pattern is being played and in which key, etc
2. How to write a song
3. How to improviseThe challenges here on RockClass101 along with taking the one on one and group classes with Ukulele Underground have been invaluable in helping me learn certain songs and techniques. Thanks.
gi_gi_ParticipantMy ukepiphany is that I never would’ve known how much I would love this instrument. Never in a million years 😂. I’m totally hooked. I’ve never enjoyed an instrument so much.

gi_gi_ParticipantThis is so great @Andrew. Will have it in my arsenal. Love the concept of this. The length of the lesson is perfect. Looking forward to more like it.

gi_gi_ParticipantHere is my attempt at Misirlou
So grateful for these challenges because I never would’ve attempted the tremolo at this time in my ukulele journey 🙂 Thanks. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s submissions. So great.
gi_gi_Participant@Andrew I would love to put in a request for the Jazz standard, “That’s All”. Stacey Kent does a beautiful version in the key of D (I think). Would be so cool if Ashley could do it while singing ☺️.
gi_gi_Participant@Amybeth Sorry I’m just seeing your response. An hour a day is amazing. Of course, 5 minutes always turns into many more but that’s what I tell myself to get started ☺️ Don’t be afraid to try the monthly challenges. There’s always an option for beginners.
gi_gi_Participant@surferjay Can I just say that you are absolutely killing it and inspiring me to get my pedal board out with my looper on it. This is good stuff. Keep at it.
FYI Ukulele Underground has an Open Mic every first Thursday of every month for free and it’s open to any and everyone…you don’t have to be a Member of theirs to participate. They allow 2 songs per participant.
gi_gi_ParticipantWelcome @Amybeth You will love the ukulele. It’s not as easy as some would lead you to believe but if you don’t give up and you play 5 minutes a day you will do things you never thought was possible ☺️. Have fun with it. RockClass101 is a great place to learn.
gi_gi_Participant@madz_about_uke Oh I loved that. I have been practicing the same thing. I feel more comfortable in the lower registers of my voice but I find it’s because that’s what I default to. I too have been working on the same thing so I find this video so encouraging and upbuilding. You have such a beautiful voice. It doesn’t sound unnatural at all. It’s just another part of your voice 🙂 Thanks for sharing it.
