This is what these challenges are about… you learning ukulele and getting better. Remember we are all here to support you no matter what your current playing level is.

    Hi hi,

I am a huge fan of the Zelda series and so happy about the recent tutorials! 🙂
I learned Song of Storms right after it came out. This was also the first time that I played the backing track by myself and combined ukulele and piano.
However, the downloadable backing track is a bit different than what AJ played, so I sticked to the notes AJ played in the performance version (there were a few notes less).
I recorded both parts with the piano backing track on headphones, but after the piano break, the ukulele and piano are slightly out off sync, but after a bar, it is synced again.
That was a lot fun! I also started learning Great Fairy Fountain and my index finger already hurts from all the barre chords haha 🙂

    Hey,
I anticipated the monthly challenge, so I recorded zelda lullaby this afternoon.
I know I don’t have the skills for this song, but I started with rock class for this song. I will keep working to succed this song one day.

I also want to work the zelda fairy fountain but I have a question :
do you have a tips to pluck like you strumm ? (it’s beautiful in the song but i can’t coordinate my thumb with the orther finger).

@johanna2509 – beautifully interpreted! I wish I could play piano. You went the extra mille! And nailed it!

@clempeck – In no way this tune is behind your skills. It sounds supermooth and calming to my ears. This is not an easy task, giving that it is a challenging song for the left hand. You killed it!

I Love this month’s challenge. It starts strong with you two 🙂

I already posted that on Youtube but man this Challenge is going hard! I’ve been playing the LoZ Games for 25 years now and it is by far my most beloved Video Game franchise. Choosing between any of the three Songs will be quite the ordeal.

Nice work @clempek and @johanna2509 for already Posting such great work 🙂

Happy Playing everyone & good Luck!

Hi @clempek – I had really hard time to teach my fingers pluck/strum technique. So I googled guitar technique called “rolling a chord” and found some extra tips and exercises. My thumb is not very cooperative yet too 🙂

Also have to say how happy I am about this month theme 🙂 . I absolutely love all the choices! These Japanese composers just have some edge what makes the music captivating. I literally had tears in my eyes, when I was very first time able to play couple bars of “Zeldas Lullaby”…

    Thank you @rebeca and @sir_anzalot!
I guess you can just start learning piano, you don’t have to build calluses haha 🙂
It is indeed hard to choose which song to learn of all the Zelda tunes, so I just learn all of them 🙂

I recorded this recently and also uploaded on the website, just wanted to submit it as this month’s entry so it gets more exposure. Will upload another entry in the next few weeks, hope I can get feedback on it, even though it won’t count as an entry.

@Andrew I’m working on Zelda’s Lullabye and I notice that at the end of measure 7 you seem to play an extra note I’m not seeing on the page. Should I ignore that or add it in?

By the way, it’s so impressive to see the admissions so far. They are so good.

@gi_gi_ – I’m not seeing an extra note. Tab player is spot on.
