    That was a cool Ted Talk esp the part about the emotional loops you put yourself through.

    Anyone who has taken the challenge to “master” anything knows it takes committment and follow through. Show up everyday, have fun and one day you could actually shock yourself ☺️😂.
    I gotta agree that our emotions could sabotage us or aid us in the process. To me it’s not so much about mastery but being consistent, following through and enjoying the journey. If you don’t have the, “I give up” attitude you could accomplish so many great things for yourself.

    One last thought: if “playing” the ukulele was all about strumming as fast as you can while playing 4 chords I would’ve quit a long time ago 😂😂😂🥴🥴🥴. So glad we have Rock Class 101 to help us learn so much more.

    Who has 3 hrs to dedicate every day just to take 10 years to Master it?

    @Andrew oops, I meant measure 12.

    @Andrew I’m working on Zelda’s Lullabye and I notice that at the end of measure 7 you seem to play an extra note I’m not seeing on the page. Should I ignore that or add it in?

    By the way, it’s so impressive to see the admissions so far. They are so good.

    @tbb Please don’t get overwhelmed with these videos. Check them out when you are ready or if you want to. You can always speed up the video 😂. No pressure at all. Just sending them since you asked. Have fun.

    @tbb Ukulele Wales has a good You Tube Channel that explains how to use the Looper pedal, etc. she even has a great vid on how to make a mini pedal board for ukes. It’s great. You dont need a whole board though. The looper is great on its own.

    @TBB I’m gonna try to place a link here. It shows both the rhythm and solo parts. When using the looper you record yourself playing the rhythm part. Then you press play and play the solo part on top in real time. It’s pretty cool.

    @tbb Congrats! How exciting…. You will love the looper. I have that one as well. I used it when I was learning Europa (Carlos Santana). There are a lot of good vids on You tube where I was learning how to play it with the looper and it was fun. I need to get back to it.
    Please rest your thoughts. I doubt anyone thought a thing about anything you posted (does that make sense?) 😂 You are a fresh of breath air and a big asset to this site. It’s nice to have more involvement and that’s mostly because of you.

    Great job @surferjay

    @TBB good job at figuring that out. Nice.

    I wish there were more singing challenges as well.

    Congrats @Surferjay That’s wonderful. I’m almost to my 1 1/2 yr mark. Now I’m gonna make sure I make the looping thing a part of my playing before my 2nd year is up 😂😂😂
    Fingerpicking is fun.

    Sorry you are going through this. As a Non-Medical person feel weird giving any advice. Seems like a good idea to keep moving though. The body seems to do well with movement.There are certain basic exercises like the spider that could be done even without the ukulele in hand. Could possibly build strength. Your Doc would know better.
