In Day-O bars 5 and 6, just wondering if there’s a reason not to play the open G instead of the 3 on E? It seems like it’s easier. Thank you!

I have been a member since mid-November and this is the first time I’ve sent in an entry. Loke Lani was quite the challenge for me. I went through your Beginner’s Guide series and I have practiced and practiced that D bar chord section, but it’s still a rough patch. I have made vast improvements since taking on the challenge.
