Well, now I am getting this same problem on other websites, different devices, different browsers. Maybe Vimeo is flipping off and on or something crazy. Becuase now yours are showing (technology!)

Hi Andrew – this looks terrific – both the pieces and the prize!
Just FYI – I know today is still March, but just in case you are unaware – Part 2 for neither Andante #2 and Prelude in C have been uploaded. (just sort of an ad from Vimeo on both pages)

    I AM A PREMIUM MEMBER (though you wouldn’t know it 🙂 )

Well, very late and I guess my hands were tired. I think I missed many of the barre codes. Though truth be told, barre chords are still bit or miss for me. But I am definitely better than I was when I joined Rockclass. In part due the challenges that have included them. This is only 60% speed and not my best effort, but this is the best recording I could get. Pretty medley….

Sounds great Andrew. Websites like this are always a work in progress and I’m happy see that you are responding to student feedback!
Thanks for all the hard work you guys put it on this site.

I knew this would be hard piece when I first saw it. Sure enough, my fingers seemed to have a mind if their own. Like many of us, I can play this a little bit better when not recording 🙂
    I went slower and slowweerr…

But it was fun trying to learn this as it is one of my favorites. Nice arrangement and lesson Steve – the harmonics are a nice touch in this piece.

Anyway, I now have a goal for next Christmas – to be able to play this piece smoothly and up to speed next year.

Thanks Andrew for these ongoing challenges and it does challenge us to learn new things. I donated to UKC this year.

Andrew, Nathalie and Rickeymike – thanks everyone for the good tips. Nathalie- I’d actually been trying to do that before I wrote my post but it was not smooth and was very slow – thanks for the reminder that practice makes a difference! Andrew- I’ll try doing more muting with my right hand, too

I’m hoping I can post a question here to get some help. Specifically I’m working on Carol of the bells so this is a problem I have in general. In this case particularly starting on bar 25 I find that when I moved to the second set of eighth notes (3rd fret hammer onto the fourth fret on the third string), my fingers leaving the fourth string make a noise as I take my fingers off – not quite like a pull off but still audible. Same thing as I move to the second string and remove my fingers from the third string. Any tips for how to keep your fingers from creating noise on the strings you are taking your fingers off of? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen other people mention struggling with this sort of thing but I don’t remember if any tips have been given. Thanks for any help. Anyone 😁

Hurricane force winds here knocked out my power literally right before I was about to record. Couldn’t see much of anything by candlelight, especially my side dots. Not a great recording – Please me a little slack guys 😁
My attempt at Haunted Uke. Seems fitting somehow….

Jinajupitar – the carpeted venue you asked about in in Hawaii.
“HI*Sessions is a project started in 2011 by Dave Kusumoto and Jon Yamasato. The idea was to provide intimate, quality live music performances to the world. By utilizing Dave’s video production experience and Jon’s rolodex of Hawaii’s top talent, HI*Sessions was born. The crew consists of: Dave Kusumoto (director), Shayna Kusumoto (video/video editing), Nick Kawakami (video), Vance Morimoto (live sound), Lance Lopes (video), Darin Leong (studio mixing), Dayton Watanabe (video), Kawika Lopez (video/video editing), Skyler Kamaka (Host). The idea is to have a laid back, fun product that anyone from Honolulu to Hong Kong can enjoy. Hope you like the show!”
Sadly, they have shut down, I think due to coronavirus lockdown.
But check out other performances they recorded

Jazz cinichol? Sarah Maisel, Abe Lagrimas jr, Gerald Ross, Benny Chong, Paul Hemmings, Glen Rose, Lyle Ritz, Casey McGill (more swing) and of course many good players include jazz along with other genres. James Hill, Ohta-San, Kimo, Daniel Ho.

As far as my own favorite – I almost never have favorites neither music nor musicians, movies, books.. So many good things and people to choose from. (except colors – purple is best). All of the above are great. Add:
Taimane, Evan da Silva, Feng E, Jake Shimabukuru, all the guys at Hawaii Music Supply, Samantha Muir (classical uke), Aldrine Guerrero, Brittni Paiva……. too many!

Can’t say anything different – they’ve covered it. Inspiration for the rest of us.
And, yes, what software did you use to cartoonize your video?
