MemberHi Taimane,
Got to see you at Strummin Man in Panama City, we were blown away. How do you manage to stay so connected mentally, spiritually and physically (dancing) with your music.
Thank you,
DCMAC

ParticipantWhat is your favorite type (soprano, concert (or alto), tenor, and baritone) of Ukulele to play and why?

neutrallybuoyantParticipantHi Taimane!!
You are amazing!! 😍😍
Your music has inspired me to buy a ukulele and learn to play. 😊😊 Do you have any advise on what I should look for in buying my first ukulele? I have no stringed instrument music experience.
Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge with us.

kepolaParticipantHi Taimane. I bought a Kala brand Ukulele a few years back and for some reason I haven’t learned much. Decided that our next annual month long visit to Oahu in Apr/May will include Kala. Where would be a good place in the Waikiki area to really cram with mt four string? Remember We’ll be there for a month. You rock. Mahalo.

ParticipantIn your experience with many uke players…If one has played other stringed instruments.. esp. guitar… Is it easier to start with a larger uke.. tenor vs concert vs soprano til your brain and fingers have made the transition or smallest to larger? Thank You

ParticipantTaimane,
You are a brilliant musician and songwriter. I am sure you draw inspiration from many different places. Is there a NON-musician that has been particularly influential on you as an artist?
Thanks,

deniseluvskauaiParticipantAloha Taimane! Shakakiaka! I was looking online at Tenor Ukeleles in the $50 $75 range, and have no experience with playing or stringing one. For a first time and first purchase, would something like this work for me? I realize they can cost in the thousands, and range in quality. Big Mahalo Nui for playing, touring, and creating stunning music! You are ao talented! I wish you could get booked in Chicago or around it! Love your stuff, and hope to see you play on Kaua’i at the Homegrown Festival, or on Mau’i/O’ahu. So good! 🌞👸🏽🎉🍾🎸🎵

jacekjParticipantTaimane,
If a string broke during performance, would you grab spare uke, or made the other musicians play solos while you have the string replaced, or you would replace the string yourself while dancing gracefully including sticking your left foot to the side, heel on the floor and toes pointing up?October 29, 2017 at 8:44 pm #14330nataschabelle
ParticipantHey Taimane! Here’s my question: could you tell me about your process for composing new songs? Love your music! Thanks,
