    Hi Andrew and Mike,
What effect does body construction have on sound quality and volume? I’m referring to the depth of the body, placement and number of sound holes, shape, bracing, and construction materials.

    Aloha, Andrew
I want to jam with some players who are better than I am, but I’m intimidated and don’t want to mess up their session with the wrong notes or chords. What will help me be able to play along with them?

What other string material do you believe holds tension longer than nylon and still produces the classic uke sound?

How do you play a song without making mistakes/unnoticeable mistake?

My question is about practicing. What should an ideal practice session consist of? Warm-ups, scales, chords, strumming, picking, and playing songs – but how to fit it all in when you don’t have all day to practice? How long to warm-up and what to do to warm-up? What scales to work on? Work on certain chords or progressions? So much to think about and still keep it somewhat fun! Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

    Thanks for doing this.

Hi! I have been wondering, is it possible to tune (or use a capo) to make a concert ukulele sound like a soprano? Thanks!

Are you planning EAR TRAINING COURSE?

It would be great to learn a song by ear and just play it on ukulele – I am sure you would do great tutorials!

Hey Andrew! My question is, how do you know if a ukulele is a top of the line ukulele? eg sound, wood type, shape, etc.

Hello. I have been playing for a few months. I have been wanting to know how to just sit down and jam out. I know so many chords. But after a minute or two I play the “wrong” chord and mess it up. (Sounds good then funky). Are there chords that can be played together in a bunch of different ways to make a long (say 10 min.) Jam session sound good? Nothing written down just grab the ukulele and play. (This is actually kind of hard to explain lol.)

Hey Andrew! How do you know when it’s time to change your strings? I’ve heard you’re supposed to change them every 6 months or so, but are there any signs (other than them breaking) that would indicate that it’s time for a switcheroo?

Hi Andrew and thanks for all the lessons!
I’ve been working on your arrangement of “I’m Yours” and I’m struggling with the “slaps.” I think I am seeing 3 different techniques that you use:
1- slapping the curled fingers onto the strings, usually followed by a pluck
2- strum while simultaneously muting with the thumb pad of the palm of the right hand
3- strum while muting the strings with the left hand fingers
Since they are all notated as a slap, how do you decide which technique to use in each situation?
Thanks for the incentive to ask my question…
    Aloha!

I bought an electric ukulele, it’s an epiphone and a bit smaller than a concert size. It sounds pretty good but I struggle with the small fret spaces and my big fingers. What should I look for in my future purchase. I have a kalla tenor but not electric. Also what strings are best for electric?
