I decided to put a set of Aquilla reds on my new uke. Talk about constant tuning! I found that tuning them a little sharp before you go to bed is helpful, but only a little bit.
Oh also sorry the video is blurry…couldn’t get the camera to focus on me instead of Norah Jones in the background hehe.
Here is my submission for wonderful tonight. Sorry my face looks so blah in this video…I was having a lot of trouble memorizing so I just decided to put the music on a stand in front of me. I didn’t have as much time to practice this month especially because I am trying to learn some Christmas songs. Thanks for the awesome lessons Andrew and team!
Thanks all! I think I’m going to save up for the kpa (or maybe ask for it for Christmas). I don’t think I’m quite good enough for a fancy all wood uke yet but after just 4 or 5 months of me being on rock class101 I can already see a HUUUUUUGE difference in my skill! I can wait to keep progressing with this awesome website!
What is the sound difference? Is it a sweeter tone, is it louder, is it mellower (if that’s a word), would a p1 kanilea be batter than a k1?
henri0, yes I did!! I just checked out the fingerpicking course and my problem was solved within a few days. I still use the thumb in some songs though.
Also, is the winner going to be announced in a live stream on August 5th or just posted in the forms?

This month’s challenge was really fun! After looking back on my progress from just 3 months ago I have improved so much thanks to Rockclass101’s amazing team! Here is my go at freight train (sorry for the bad mic)
