Here is my submission for the October Challenge! I went for the “Frightful Strumming Etude.” I performed it on my low G ukulele because I thought it sounded more “spooky.” Thanks for listening!

Hi Andrew! I had got so busy with school and such it was hard for me to find time for the uke. I finally hopped back on the practice train and am going to start entering again! I decided to go for one of the easier options this month since I’m a little rusty. It was a lot of fun to learn! I played it on a low G. Sorry for the crickets chirping haha.

Unfortunately, my practice time was next to none this month so it is not the cleanest I could make it. I did have a lot of fun playing this though because it is one of my neighbors favorite songs so he enjoyed listening to it.

Hi Rockclass101! It’s been a while since I submitted a video and I’m kinda just getting back to the instrument so there are a few flukes but fairly well played. Can’t wait for next month!
Question. For take five it looks like the music gives you both parts. If I wanted to learn that one would I be allowed to submit it as a duet with my friend? If not I’ll think I’ll try Gymnopedie. I had such a hard time choosing this month I think I’ll just learn them all!

Mele Kalikimaka everybody!!! I had a great time learning Carol of the Bells. It’s not 100% and I had quite a bit of trouble with sustain because of all the hammer-ons…any tips on how to overcome that?

I really liked learning this song. I know I jumped the gun a couple times on the timing with the backing track but I did the best I could. Cant wait for next months songs.
I would also like to request something from Hamilton or another musical such as greatest showman, sound of music, or la la land. Thanks
The triplet rhythm was tough for me to start but now I’ve learned the melodic etude and it just clicked. I’m taking the course and I’m going to try St. Anne’s Reel but might not get it up to speed in time. This uke is so beautiful and I really hope I win! What a Christmas present that would be lol.

A couple of flukes here and there but overall I am pretty happy with this month’s submission. Good job to everyone else who submitted and huge congrats to all the people who wrote there own song. Look forward to seeing who wins!
