katazumiriParticipantThank you, @The_Bumble_Bard 😊
Oh! When I read about the “vibrating phone sound,” I thought of Klangphonics. They play techno on anything they can get their hands on, including the ukulele and household appliances (everyday items). I’ll start a new thread so as not to clutter this one.

Hello everyone!
I invite you to take a stroll through the city center, where the Christmas market is located.
I donated $25 to the KidsClub.

katazumiriParticipantHey everyone!
This month I’m picking “Over the River and Through the Woods”.
I’d never heard this song before, so I decided to check out the lyrics. It turns out the first verse mentions sleighs and snow. I thought sleigh bells would be a good fit. And here’s what I came up with:

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
This time I experimented with “Iron Man”.
It turned out slower than the original (about 80%) and without speed-up. I give up the “triple slide” in the ukulele part and the 32 notes in the drums; I hope Tony Iommi and Bill Ward won’t be offended 😉I AM A PREMIUM MEMBER

katazumiriParticipant@The_Bumble_Bard Thank you!
The metallophone looks like xylophone. But… Metallophone is a generic term. In fact, the thing I played is called a glockenspiel (Glocken: bells and Spiel: play). Personally, I find this name misleading, since there are no bells (Glocken) at all 😂😂😂

katazumiriParticipantThank you @dianna and @otzepeng! 😊
@The_Bumble_Bard It was so much fun with the otamatone! 👏👏👏@grannieannie I’ve only made the diddley bow myself, which has three knots. I don’t find it that difficult.
As for the canjo: My husband and I made it together. I took the lead, found the individual parts, and roughly figured out where and how many holes should be. My husband then drilled all the holes and soldered the wires.August 30, 2025 at 8:07 am in reply to: Participate in the August 2025 Member Challenge – Free For All! #75640
katazumiriParticipant@leb397: Thank you! I know the song from a local radio station that plays hits from the 90s 🙂
Thanks, @grannieannie! Fun fact: Fools Garden is a pop-rock band with vocals, guitar, drums, bass and keyboards. In the studio version of the song “Lemon Tree,” the tuba is clearly audible in the verse. Therefore, in live concerts, they sometimes perform with a full brass band 🎷📯🎺

katazumiriParticipantOh my goodness, it’s already halfway through the month. I knew from the beginning of the month what I wanted to do: “Lemon Tree” by Fools Garden. On the one hand, I like the idea of using any instrument, but on the other hand, I’m running out of time because I have too many variations in mind and not enough time or skill…
1) Implementation – I’m working on “Lemon Tree” by Fools Garden. I’m using a few instruments that are mostly lying around on the shelf.
2) Application – I’ll use sheet music from MuseScore ( https://musescore.com/user/19271391/scores/6565279 ). I’ll pick and choose what works for me, since I don’t have all the instruments listed in the score.
3) Evaluation – I’ll post a video of the song at the end of the month.
