katazumiriParticipantOh my goodness, it’s already halfway through the month. I knew from the beginning of the month what I wanted to do: “Lemon Tree” by Fools Garden. On the one hand, I like the idea of using any instrument, but on the other hand, I’m running out of time because I have too many variations in mind and not enough time or skill…
1) Implementation – I’m working on “Lemon Tree” by Fools Garden. I’m using a few instruments that are mostly lying around on the shelf.
2) Application – I’ll use sheet music from MuseScore ( https://musescore.com/user/19271391/scores/6565279 ). I’ll pick and choose what works for me, since I don’t have all the instruments listed in the score.
3) Evaluation – I’ll post a video of the song at the end of the month.

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
Here is my version of “Free Fallin’”. It’s slow, about 80% of final speed. It turned out almost meditative 🧘 😂😂😂

@The_Bumble_Bard I don’t know if it’s any consolation to you that my “Eastern European general education school” didn’t teach anything about snow monkeys. I’m wondering what “snow monkeys” means? Animals as such (that like to bathe in hot springs; I saw that on TV as an adult, not as a child in school), or something else?I like that Andrew adds a description to most of the pieces. But sometimes I have never heard of the song title or the performer before. In such cases, I am interested in finding the original. To see if there are any differences between the studio version and the live performance. Or are there any differences between the original performance and the performance several years later?

katazumiriParticipant@The_Bumble_Bard – I’m not trying to guess what will happen next month, as I usually don’t even know half the songs (never heard or seen them). So, just like @dianna, I’m looking forward to the first of the month (yes, comparable to Christmas) to close another “education gap,” as the Germans jokingly say 😁

katazumiriParticipant@andrew Thank you! 🙂
@grannieannie Thank you very much. I agree with you that playing the ukulele in this place would be great 🙂
When I wrote “sitting and wasting time”, it was not about me. I was having a nice Sunday afternoon, going out to the canal in another part of town with my husband. The phrase “sitting and wasting time” was taken from the lyrics of a song by Ottis Redding. It is about a man who left Georgia and sought a better life in San Francisco. The expectations of the man in the song were not met; his life situation did not improve. He received a lot of advice, but did not follow it, and he felt lonely. All he did from morning to night was “sit on the dock and wast time”
katazumiriParticipant@The_Bumble_Bard thank you, Rachael 🙂

katazumiriParticipantHello everyone!
Here is my attempt. I chose „Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay“.I don’t live in San Francisco and we don’t have a bay, but we do have a place where you can watch ships, mostly barges, go by. It’s called the Mittellandkanal.
There are docks there, but I wouldn’t say it’s a comfortable place to sit. It’s a favorite place for joggers and cyclists. However, if someone wants to “just sit and waste time,” no one will bother them 🙂I am a Premium Member.

I, like @concan, played “Come As You Are” in May 2021.
