becky7777Participant@mr_moltes – You might want to contact some luthiers near you and see what they charge.
Found this, there’s other ones that came up doing a search. Depending on how much your uke costs to replace vs how much the repair is, you may want to try the repair yourself. (if repairs in your area would cost more than the ukulele, and you’re kind of handy with wood. The luthier in the video below quoted someone in the comments $400 in 2018 for the same repair on the guitar, but he’s addressing fixing the finish too. Repair is probably quoted case by case)

nathalieParticipantHello everyone,
I am a premium member. Here is my participation in April challenge. As a beginner, I chose Loki Loni. This month I have tried to increase my speed of play. Picking is the hard part for my at higher speeds. I would like to be much more faster…I practice my patience 🙂
Thank you very much for your comments. They are put into practice and help me a lot to improve my play.

Hey everyone, here is my entry for this months challenge. I’ve chosen Loke Lani and the fact that I didn’t really practice much (obviously) shows that I have learned a lot in the 6 months or so that I’ve been a member.
Thank you Andrew & Team. Really liked all the entries so far, keep ’em coming!

sgwarrenMember@stianukulele That was great. Really smoothly played and I like the faster tempo. I’m going to try and record my version of this song today.

Hi guys,
greetings from Russia!
I feel kinda nervous, cause it’s actually a first ukulele song I ever learned (unless one counts repeatedly played 4 chords from ‘i’m yours’😅)
I found rock class 101 several weeks ago, while searching for a nice arrangement of Scarborough Fair, however when I discovered an April challenge I immediately fell hopelessly in love with Hone A Ka Wai. So now, after several days of skipping job (don’t tell my boss🤫), I’m finally here
Although it was not pointed as a beginner friendly, I feel like we really become friends with this tune😉
My performance is definitely far from being perfect, but it was a perfect day – I finally left my self-isolation castle and saw a sea😍
Fortunately I own a soprano uke, which is perfect for this song, but now I feel that I can’t stop and I really want to buy it a cool concert friend (probably I’ll have to stop skipping job to do that😅)
Thank you, Andrew and rock class 101 team for such an amazing job, and thank you guys for creating so friendly community. Can’t wait for a May challenge and hope I’ll finish my personal one (with Scarborough fair lesson) before it is on💪

marianneParticipantHello everyone,
Here is a not too shabby second submission of mine: Hone A Ka Wai. Fun little tune. I’ve only been playing the ukulele for about a year, so I am really excited to have gotten better quite quickly.
Thanks Andrew and Stephen (and all the team Rock Class 101 for blessing us with such a wonderful venture, especially in these confining and stressful days!

ParticipantFirst of all Wow! I’ve watched several entries and they all sound amazing. Congrats on the results of your dedication.
I’ve decided to pick Day-O because I though it would be easy (the triplet strumming on Loki Lani really scared me lol). I was oh so wrong. I’ve made a lot of mistakes as I’m having a hard time to find the right timing and rhythm. I definitely want to keep revisiting this song! Thank you Rock Class 101 for the opportunity to grow as a player and to participate on the giveaway!

robinboydParticipant@eyka321 – I’m so jealous. You are great! It took me years to get to that level.

Hi Andrew, After focusing on the points you offered I really tried to get some polish on my version of Day-O. I hear some improvements but yikes not as much as I would like lol. I recorded it using GarageBand and your cool backing track. Unfortunately, I got ahead of the backing track and every attempt to play and record afterwards was below par.Everyone’s submissions are very impressive. Thank you for the quality of instructors and generous feedback.
Be Well,

Hey everyone!! I’m very excited and nervous to be entering in this member challenge. I’ve only been a member of the RC101 community for about a month now and I’ve only been playing ukulele for 3 months! I do have prior knowledge on stringed instruments, I play the violin too! I did take the time to listen to everyone’s submissions and they all sound amazing!
Also, i decided to add the beginning introduction of Ernest Kai’ai’s arrangement! So if it sounds a little different then that’s why! Thanks again for this wonderful opportunity Andrew, and Uke Republic!! Good luck to everyone!
