coffeemugParticipantHi! I loved learning Gymnopédie No.1. I’ve been working on it since the lesson was posted. Thank you, Rock Class team.
Stay safe!

ParticipantHi! This is my first Rock Class 101 post! Here’s my attempt at Into the Maze. I feel like I’m playing the harp or the piano with this song.

Participant@lisadmh Personally, when I get pain in my wrists while playing (especially with bar chords), it’s usually because I’m tensing up my hands. Try shaking them out and slowly rolling them out in between playing. Also, when I first practiced Into the Maze, I also had that problem, but as I got used to the song, the tension in my wrists went away, so maybe practicing and getting used to the song is the answer?

Participant@amaddi, that sounded wonderful. I am still considering posting my first video. Just finished the beginner course last month and have been practicing into the maze. But as I watch others posts, I feel I am still not ready to post a video yet. You did a fantasic job.

ParticipantHi,
Here’s my YouTube link, so I hope this is how it should be submitted. Not sure it is…I entered the Maze, got turned around a few times, and thought I found my way out. I’m a recent enrollee but this has been a lot of fun.
Cheers,
Terry

Participant@ldarrow Thank you so much! And I’d say go for it! (Even if it’s scary.) Consider posting here like you have a ukulele teacher (Andrew) who has a class recital (this forum), where there’s no choice you just have to do it LOL. Or as a memory to look back on for your future self from when you were a beginner player! Rooting for you!

coffeemugParticipantThank you, @annemarie!
I’m so impressed with all the first time posters. Way to jump in with both feet and your uke!

robinboydParticipant@ldarrow – I’d go for it. Andrew and the other teachers are there to help and the rest of us won’t judge. We were all beginners once.

Participant@robinboyd thanks, I’ll give it a try.

ParticipantHi everyone! I did Take Five, one of my all time favorites. Thank you Matt for the great duet arrangement!

brettboyParticipant*** Note – Don’t give me two entries! ***
I already submitted this month with 2 Chord Jam (no. 2) !Hi Uke Stars!
I also studied Matt’s awesome Take 5 lesson this month and wanted to share my best take in a guitar and uke duet.

robinboydParticipant@brettboy – I was thinking about trying this with the lead on the guitar but I decided it was too hard. Well done! I think your timing might have been a bit off at the start, and particularly in Melody B, though. I think you got it right at the end. (Obviously I have yet to submit and I’m also struggling with the timing in Melody B)

ukandoitMemberI AM A PREMIUM MEMBER.
A bit lazy this month :/
Started to work on it this morning and recorded it tonight, so it’s not perfect at all.
While playing 0045 and then 2200, i just use 2 fingers (instead of 4 recommended, using pinky ect.) and don’t let the chords ring properly, i made mistakes, and at the end i don’t even remember the chords and i’m totaly lost while trying to find the chords on my computer screen hahaha.I’ll learn the song perfectly next time 😉
