I went with Haunted Uke – it was tougher than it looked with the timing, hammer ons, pulls offs, slides, vibrato. I liked learning what the little slash through the note meant in the score on the slides too – 🙂

Excited to see what the Nov choices will be. Again, this month’s song is not a style I would have even looked at before, so these challenges are fun to keep things different from what I normally gravitate to.

Still thinking of myself as a beginner so I went with Fingerpicking Edude no. 25 “Morning Dew”. Those hammer-ons are indeed a challenge!

Here’s my October submission of Etude no. 25: Morning Dew. I just love this beautiful melody. And it was also good to work on my hammer-ons and pull-offs. I did spend a ton of time on Little Trouble in Big China. It was fun to learn and I was plugging away at it, but at some point I realized I wouldn’t be ready to submit by the end of the month and thus switched to Morning Dew.

Thanks again to the RC 101 team and members. Another month of great submissions! Wow! And congratulations on 10 YEARS!

Well, It’s quite late, Happy Halloween…..great entries everyone….I’ve been enjoying them. This month I worked on Little Trouble in Big China. Such a cool little tune, with all sorts of fun little techniques to practice. Always so grateful to Rock Class 101 for this amazing ukulele repertoire.
