Is there any difference between the sound of a laminate ukulele and one made from solid wood? Solid wood ukes are much more expensive but does it actually sound any better? (Bonus points if you can also explain why but definitely not necessary)

Im a lefty ukulele player, but i dont switch the strings around, i just turn the ukulele the other way, so naturally some chords are easy for me and some are just impossible, and most times fingerstyle songs are twice as hard for me. What alternatives are there to some of the methods/styles/tricks that we can use as lefties to help us?

I have the song tab n chords.
I know the tune and how to sing the song.
What I can’t figure out is the strumming pattern. Previous advice to me is to use my own intuition and go with the flow but that is just not happening.
Q: how do i figure out what shd the strumming pattern be for a particular song.

What is your experience of the concert size ukulele in terms of sound quality? I really like them in the shop but I have heard people say they are a bad compromise, losing the sparkle of the soprano and not gaining the good sound of the tenor.
