AndrewKeymasterEven so, it produces a “tinny” tone – I think that may be more of what you are unhappy with.
AndrewKeymasterOkay, so the above will hold true based off that price point. Unfortunately, I’m unfamiliar with them and can’t comment on their brand/quality.
If you do upgrade in the future, consider Islander ukuleles. Affordable and great quality π
AndrewKeymasterIf it feels difficult to press down up there, you may want to consider getting it setup. They will adjust the action (string height), making it easier to play and should help create a better sustain of the notes in that position.
AndrewKeymasterIt def sounds like an issue with the uke. What model/brand is it?
AndrewKeymasterLooks like it exceeds the upload limit, which is very small, as it is for photos only. Can you upload to YouTube and share a link?

AndrewKeymasterHere is everyone on page 4 π
mheiden, great job Maureen! Keep plugging away with the dynamic expressions. Did you try a lighter picking approach? I think that would work really well for your playing style and create a nice variation in the tonal landscape.
Watch out for bending at the first joint, which I see you did in the second chord. Try to keep it bent and on the fingertips.
rickkhan, loved it! Had to share it on our Facebook page π here’s a video with some feedback on relaxing your playing.
Keep at it with Etude 15, sounds good so far! I’d recommend a high G as the melody notes take advantage of that tuning. Low G lessons launch next Friday π
nggnmm, excellent playing! By the way, I believe Mike is shipping out your uke this week π
AndrewKeymasterNice work, Sara! Keep at it π

AndrewKeymasterHi Tim, you should be able to copy and paste the url link of the soundcloud file and it should auto-embed. Although, sometimes there is an embed code. Try the url, and if it doesn’t work, I can fix it for you and highlight the posting process.

AndrewKeymasterCan you share a video? I’ll be better able to help if I can see/hear what’s happening.
AndrewKeymasterWhichever you think sounds best π
